Back 4 Blood Requires A Constant Internet Connection

Back 4 Blood developer Turtle Rock has confirmed that the game will require an always-online connection, even when its campaign is being played solo with a squad of AI-controlled teammates. Turtle Rock has mentioned that it is currently looking into how offline play can be applied to the game.

Not too surprising but still annoying

Who would play this solo? Lol

neutralgamer19921469d ago

I play these sort of games solo. I also played all borderlands games solo. Weird I know but I just play at my own pace

sourOG1469d ago

Borderlands I could understand but not left 4 dead man! What a bummer. Do you need someone to play with or you just like the solo experience?

jeromeface1469d ago

do you live in alaska? because if not I think you'll be just fine

neutralgamer19921469d ago

Sour

I just play solo bro and LFD solo is a little different because it becomes more hectic haha. I play games at weird hours when kids sleeping so a lot of time can't chat and have to wear headphones to play

jeromeface

Yeah I don't have a problem with always online but I think the developers will figure out a way for the campaign to be played offline. I don't have the best of the internet coverages I am about to upgrade to fiber hopefully that will fix issue

KillBill1469d ago

Why not? Many of us play Left4Dead solo.

sourOG1469d ago

It just doesn’t seem like a game that would be fun solo. Dumb AI and the “grind” would wear on me quick without shooting the shit with people.

Great. Another game to pass on because they force a connection, even with bots. I'll never support that.

...and just yesterday my Fios internet went down for 10 hours in my area.

Smok911469d ago (Edited 1469d ago )

Where do you live that internet goes down? Genuinely curious.

spss111469d ago (Edited 1469d ago )

Near DC. There was a Verizon outage in my area.

Just like any technology, the internet can go down. Could be a storm, car accident knocks out a line, router goes bad, or some other technical/network failure. My last router from Comcast would drop connection regularly. It was annoying.

I don't want to rely on it when playing a video game.

Zjet1469d ago

It's not just about connectivity though, if the game ain't making money, the servers aren't going to live. which measn bye bye game.

Online only DRM can suck it

It's lies anyway , it has starfield in the list

SoloGamer1587d ago

i can experience most of these on PS5.. most of these arent XB exclusive.. why would i play multiplatform games on an inferior console.. when i can play them on the winning console, ps5.. that actually has way more awesome EXCLUSIVES.

Plague-Doctor27587d ago

Cause you can't play all of them on a PS5? Maybe people prefer the Xbox controller? Maybe that specific game runs better on Xbox?

Why play multiplats on a PS5 when you can experience them on a PC?

The3faces587d ago

So Series X is the inferior console compared to PS5? Um ok...

Wretchedstain587d ago

Clicks and likes, clicks and likes clicks and likes... clicks and likes clicks and likes clicks and Liiiiiiiiiiiikes...

ChasterMies586d ago

Only 30 games? Wow, that must have been super hard to narrow down.

zacly586d ago

This list just shows how bad xbox is struggling. I have been an xbox owner since the original on day one. This generation caused me to switch over to playstation and I haven't looked back. They need to stop buying all these companies up and start investing in some games
