Housemarque: "Returnal PS5 Pro Enhanced Patch is Out Now! Featuring up to 2.5X the pixels on PS5 Pro for a higher resolution experience of Returnal."
Wow this is amazing, I was just replaying this game on Ps5 and loving it again, and now a patch for the Pro... Amazing... Can't wait to check it out on the Pro now...
This game needs a part 2 so bad... One of my favorite Ps5 true nex gen games... Love HourseMarque for this...
IF you have not played this do yourself a favor and get it, it's a hell of a game, tough but super fun to play.
-Love this Game
I've got to try some Returnal again on my PS5 Pro, it's one of my favorite games this generation.
That's great news! Because of the coop mode I was able to beat some bosses. Gonna play more after the update
The top 10 most terrifying moments in Resident Evil history, from Mr. X to the Baby Monster, exploring Capcom's masterful horror design.
The shadows of rose DLC (REvillage) mannequin section is definitely top 10 worthy but is missing...
According to Housemarque, Returnal marks the beginning of a "new future" at the studio, and is the game that them to join Sony.
Returnal was fantastic, and I'm looking forward to seeing what these folks create with Sony in the future.
They make some fun arcade styles games. Returnal is one of the best games so far this generation. I wonder what is next
returnal is easily one of the most underrated games this gen. a lot of people with ps5s dont know it exists.
Loving the progress they've made with sound. I lap up the atmosphere in games like these and it's such a massively important part.
Good article and the implementation in Returnal is fantastic. I"ve been using an 11 year old pair of Bose Quiet Comfort cans wired into the pad and the result is great.
However, can someone explain to me what criteria to use when calibrating the 3D audio in the ps5 settings? I can generally distinguish between the 5 different sounds but which one should I choose?
At fist I went for the setting one level above the default but wasn't happy with it so reverted to the default which seems to work well for me, but I don't know why.
Listening to bonus adrenaline shells ricochet off walls in the distance in Returnal is so cool.
Tech that the PC had for quite some time. Sound Blaster AE Series cards as an example. Yet, these devs well mostly all devs leave the performance on the table. If they only took advantage of the AE series of cards in their games, like they used to with EAX back in the day.
Does anyone know what the proper audio settings are for Resident Evil Village on PS5? I want to take full advantage of the tempest 3D audio but it’s confusing as heck. I have 3D audio turned on in the system settings but then what do you set for in game settings? There’s the 3 output modes, tv, surround sound and headphones, then beneath that there is a virtual surround sound toggle.
Do I set output to headphones and leave virtual surround sound off and keep 3D audio on within the system settings? Or some other combination? I’m really surprised I haven’t seen more people confused by this. Been searching the internet for an answer and not finding anything definitive.
Would greatly appreciate anyone’s help.
The audio enhancements are superb! Still prefer my Astro over my PS5 headphines, but both sound good-great and immersive.
