25000 games hell make that million or trillion or infinite amounts of games next.

Father__Merrin1524d ago

530 out of 2,307 games played
22% according to steam dB for me...

Wow that's some backlog for me

abhirajj1524d ago

Is it even practically possible to play this many games even in the entire life?

Kados1524d ago

Rough estimate. Average game length 8 hours, playing 12 hours per day, every day... 45 years.

kneon1523d ago

Even if you don't try and finish them and only play each one for 2 hours and only play 2 hours per day it's still 68 years.

MadLad1523d ago

I have just under 900, and thought I had a lot of the games worth owning. Someone bought a lot of shovelware bundles.

RedDevils1523d ago

do you buy games for decoration or do you play it?

MadLad1522d ago (Edited 1522d ago )

I have humble monthly, and I buy bundles when they're worthwhile. Work and the gym keeps me from beating most games, but I like to at least try the games I'm interested in.
I don't even know how I managed to complete games like Morrowind back in the day.

yeah nothing is gonna dethrone nintendo in japan, especially if there's a handheld involved.

Wow… Nintendo is champ in Japan, but the speed of sale is remarkable.

Proves that console gaming isn’t dead yet not by a long shot.

gold_drake1d 18h ago

not surprised, the switch is relatively cheap in japan.

I guess the resistance against always online and digital only consoles is BS. The people have voted with their wallets.

NotoriousWhiz1d 16h ago

What are you talking about? Switch 2 is neither always online nor digital only.

DivineHand1251d 15h ago

Nintendo can literally block your Switch 2 console from accessing their online services at any time. When that happens, it becomes a brick. You won't even be able to play those games that use game key cards that are not installed on the console. Some users who have been blocked tried factory resetting their system, and when they tried to boot it up with a new account, they are stuck.

Speaking of game key cards, the majority of third party publishers have opted to use those instead of loading their full game on those cartridges. Imagine having a library of game key card games and going on a long trip but not being able to play a particular game because you need to connect to Nintendo servers to download the game first. It is not like the old days where you just plug in and play.

Game key cards make sense for large games like GTA, Red Dead, or COD, but I don't see why publishers who have games with sizes less than 32 GB need to use that option.

If you try to mod your system it could get banned from online play like every single system since the ps3 and xbox
