PS5 vs Xbox Series X|S vs Switch Launch Sales Comparison Through Week 19

Through the first 19 weeks available worldwide the PlayStation 5 is ahead of the Switch and Xbox Series X|S by a fair margin. The PS5 is ahead of the Switch by 2.20 million units and is 2.36 million units ahead of the Xbox Series X|S. The Switch is ahead of the Xbox Series X|S by 163,584 units.

The PS5 has sold 6.50 million in 19 weeks worldwide, while the Switch sold 4.31 million units and the Xbox Series X|S 4.14 million units.

Crazy how Switch sales really exploded. This graph essentially shows that the Switch at launch was selling at the same pace the XSX is selling currently. Now the Switch is the 9th best selling videogame console and might be the fifth by the end of the year. No offense to Xbox, but I don't think this is going to happen for them.

PS5 sales are much higher than both. Sony knows how to start off their home consoles with success.

It is mad on how the switch sold but when all said and done a great little console that ticks all the boxes for a Nintendo gamer. Only issue for me is I still feel nintendo need to give us some more of its big name games.

As for the Xbox with the direction Microsoft are going I don't see the Xbox outselling Nintendo or Sony but with xbox consoles, pc & xcloud I see them making alot of money in games revenue. Gamepass is unrivaled at the moment and with the new Microsoft exclusives to start lading this year this is what will push them going forward.

If you look at gaming as a big picture though definitely in a good shape.

Xbox and ps4 are selling every unit they can manufacture so I think its a bit early to make predictions or over analyse sales
