CCG writes - "Sumatra: Fall of Yandi stars the titular Yandi, a married Indonesian man who, like many, greatly dislikes his logging job. A terrible boss by the name of Bandan who refuses to pay Yandi his overtime combined with a hard labor career, means he tends to emotionally neglect his loving wife, Adiratna. Working with his best friend Ramdan is the only reason he continues to put up with the work. When rainfall causes a landslide to happen, forcing Yandi and Ramdan apart, drifting unconsciously down the river, Yandi finds himself lost within the Sumatra jungles, desperate to get out."
Michael Kitchin writes, "Sumatra: Fate of Yandi is a decently-written tale that paces itself rather well. I rarely felt bogged down and my objectives were always clear. Adventure games can sometimes feel the need to overcomplicate but Cloak and Dagger Games have managed to show restraint and care. There are minor irritations like the sparse use of sound. Whilst primitive, the visuals do take time to show some colour and atmosphere. There's a good package here which fans will enjoy."
Gareth writes: "If you're a fan of old-fashioned point-and-clickers then you must give Sumatra: Fate of Yandi on Xbox a go. It looks, sounds, and plays like one of those adventures from back in the day, and even though it may well play better on PC than with a controller, it works well enough."
This is a rather "different" game with no doubt.
