Mundaun is the dreadful vacation I didn’t know I needed - Polygon

From Polygon: "undaunMundaun appears to be a charming, cottagecore experience as it starts, but my Swiss journey was rudely interrupted by the servants of the devil. Now, I’m in a tunnel, talking to a severed goat head, frantically listening for the buzz of those terrible, murderous bees."

Mundaun (XS) Review | VGChartz

VGChartz's Lee Mehr: "One of Mundaun's best habits is crafting concepts with multiple uses. Sometimes it's simple, like a dual-purpose game mechanic; other times, it adds more meaning and texture. The stenciled aesthetic isn't merely a pretty gimmick to advertise as Another Artistic Indie Game™, but also folds with the storytelling to make something unique out of the familiar. It's a tightly-compacted folk horror that's also invested in examining a young man's return to his roots and his drive to right past wrongs. Not every combination pays off, especially several stealth/action bits, but the accumulated successes make it worth seeing through to the end."

Mundaun Review - An Added Layer Of Sheen To One Of The Most Stylish Horror Titles - PSU

From PSU: "If you've been holding off from picking up Mundaun, now is absolutely the time to jump in. Representing arguably the definitive version of a game that more people really need to play, Mundaun on PS5 brings a level of fidelity and smoothness to Hidden Field's superb horror effort that only serves to strengthen its ruthlessly engaging tale."

Please trust me on this. I played this on Switch and it was glorious. The artistic style was so unique that any bump in processing power would not make that much of a difference.

It was really a good horror game (first encounter with the haystack creature was amazing) and the atmosphere was really good (same with graphics).

My point is that anyone can enjoy this game even if he chooses to play it on lower end console such as a Switch. There is really no huge compromise here

I think it's one of the best games I've ever played. The story and atmosphere is just perfection. Love the journey into the black mountain. And all the little details, was sold by the mirror moment in the beginning.
