Rockstar has listened to its fans and updated GTA Online to incorporate a recently-discovered method that will drastically reduce load times.
Downloading console version 1.37 now. Hopefully there’s some improvement there too. I’ve read about a couple bugs already regarding solo boots.
Should hire the fan who discovered this fix.
I'm sure he's already gainfully employed somewhere if he had the ability to do this while the rest of the IT department didn't. Edit: Rockstar awarded the user t0st, who found the fix, $10,000
It's nice that he got paid. Not sure if he's employed full time as a game developer or anything though as he is a modder. Game development be a very tough scene to break into if you don't have connections
$10,000 in game cash? That's like a penny when it comes to buying some of the stuff on GTAV
@ChrisW its called a bug bounty. they pay people who find bugs. apparently the long wait times were mostly caused by redundant files being read during loading side note, loading times for me have been good for the past few years on pc ( even heavily modded) and ps4. compared to ps3 where I could make a whole meal before the lobby load.
They will sue him because thats what they have done to modder that made them look bad.
Hats off to the explanation about the issue, also rs paid him £7k so kudos all around.
Well done, that man!
Waited the whole 5h for the game to load but can't find that patch anywhere on my ps3. /s
Have they fixed RDR2 Online?
