tl;dr version: They don't know the actual length, just that it's 2 chapters but that could be anything from under 1 hour to up to 5 hours per chapter if going by FF7R.

mikeslemonade1548d ago

I probably be a sucker and buy it. Already borrowing my friend’s copy of FF7 but waiting for the PS5 update.

bouzebbal1547d ago (Edited 1547d ago )

Can't wait for this expansion.. Ff7R is the best game I played last year with Tsushima

mikeslemonade1546d ago

^wrong. Tlou2 is the best game.

Kurisu1548d ago

I'm going to be upgrading my digital deluxe edition to Intergrade when I get a PS5. Really, really hoping I can get one for Intergrade's release date. I played the game on a base PS4 so can't wait to replay the game again on next gen hardware.

Back on topic...

2-3 hours should be enough to get a good feel of Yuffie's gameplay for part 2, and build on the story of Wutai. Hopefully there will be some extra game modes chucked in too like with the FFXV character DLC.

QUIMICOMORTAL1547d ago

Its pure especulation on their part!

This is the definition of clickbait.

"LOL JK we don't actually know, thanks for the view though! Ktnxbye!"

What a crap site. Can I block them?

SDuck1548d ago

Real question here ^^^ Can we actually block a site to show on the timeline?

Unknown_Gamer57941547d ago

That's the state of games "journalism" these days. Thanks for saving me from clicking the link though.

Elda1548d ago (Edited 1548d ago )

Clickbait headline. A few days ago I stated the episode was probably 2 to 3 hrs long.

Gardenia1547d ago

Yes where are the N4G mods? They should ban sites like this.

SDuck1548d ago

3~4h is what a DLC chapter usually lasts and that's what I'm counting on.

Lore1548d ago

Per episode or total between the two?

SDuck1547d ago

I mean the whole DLC's length

jambola1548d ago

.........
literally 6 very short lines in it says "while square enix hasn't verified the length of this dlc"
how did this blatant lie of an article get approved??

i mean, weve been joking about this for a while now haha

they're gonna resell this trilogy for the next 20 years ha

but i wonder ... remake and rebirth already had to cut back on the psr4and ps5.

hows that gonna go on that inferior system?

andy8520d ago

Steam deck runs it ok and the switch 2 is more powerful (docked]. Handheld mode will be the interesting one

PRIMORDUS20d ago

No physical release GTFO. This game deserves to be in your collection, not some digital shit.

raWfodog20d ago

I can definitely see them offering a boxed collection of the entire trilogy after it’s completed. Or at least it would be a smart thing to do if Square wanted to bring in more money.

Why do we think this is coming out on Switch 2 before Xbox? Any thoughts? The S2 is not more powerful than the Series S so it’s not a ‘lack of power’ issue. Perhaps the sales forecast is higher on S2 than Xbox so that’s maybe where their priority lies?

jznrpg21d ago (Edited 21d ago )

It’s definitely a sales issue. If Xbox didn’t have players used to GamePass I bet it would be there already.

andy8520d ago

The fact people will buy it. Xbox gamers generally have minimal interest in this series. Portable Final Fantasy will go down a storm in Japan where the switch sells huge numbers

repsahj20d ago

Hamaguchi states not just the remake but the entire FF7 remake series.

repsahj20d ago (Edited 20d ago )

The Switch 2 version is really beautiful. It looked as good as the PS5 version.

But why? I mean cool and all just seems a bit random. Now if they could set a mode in Rebirth that makes these Brutal challenges easier then I am all for it...

JimBeans165d ago

Because they will release the games as a completed trilogy when the third one comes out but they need a way to deal with the boring sections.

SethNW165d ago

Probably features they are developing for future titles on same engine, or in other words third part, and they are easy and cheap to backport to released entry. Which also expands their options test feature in sort of safer environment, where it won't hurt anything if it isn't popular or used. Since everyone already bought the game. Plus they probably will want to eventually release whole trilogy as one game. Which will warrant feature parity between all three, so doing work ahead of time won't hurt.

Babadook7164d ago (Edited 164d ago )

"But why?"

Personally I like the "fast forward" as opposed to just "skip" for times when I need to replay a mini game thats combined with story (like the upper Junon 1st infantry mini game). I wanted to improve my result without skipping the part of the cinematic that reveals your result. This feature makes those moments more precise. There're probably plenty of times when this will be nicer.

andy85165d ago

I don't really see the point of speeding up cutscenes. Aren't they there to be enjoyed. And if you don't want to see them again..just skip them

jambola164d ago

Does it let me skip the forced cutscenes in battle?
like in the final battle where there's a full minute long unskippable cutscene?
will it finally do that, or do we have to wait for a pc release where 1 guys in his bedroom with no funding to fix this
