Xbox Game Pass Ultimate is currently limited to 720p for streaming to mobile devices, but we've seen evidence that it's about to get bumped up to 1080p. Here's what you need to know.
That will be interesting to see. Likely some major countries will get the upgrade to the Series X before others thanks to the lack of parts. But is nice to see that this upgrade will come rather soon into the new generation of consoles.
I can do 8k streaming but can my internet provider handle it?
Latency is so bad at 720p so no thanks.
Maybe upgrade your internet?
My internet is fine, I get 300mb download and 342 upload, and 7ms ping on verizon fios. When I use The in home remote streaming latency is much better and playable. [ Speedtest copy and paste] PING ms 7 DOWNLOAD Mbps 310.17 UPLOAD Mbps 344.19
latency and resolution are two different things though...
Latency has nothing to do with bandwidth.
WIth the pandemic I cant even see Youtube properlly internet sucks.
They should at least try to get up to resolutions above regular HD knowing it's the 4k era now. Resolutions of 1440p & up would be much better.
Lol it ran all the time in in 720p and they made jokes of PS now. The richest company of the world, really has the power of the crackdown cloud.)
One is a free service still in development. The other has been out for years and hasn't improved from 720p. Really wanna go there?
And this is why the Xbox Gaming community is destroying the whole Gaming world. You are just liars. You have to pay for gamepass, so nothing is free. PS now just started directly with streaming. Gamepass just added it later. But you have to pay for both! Just remote play is real "free" and who offers it? :) BTW Sony didn't wanted to conquer the Gaming world with streaming, like big mouth Microsoft. Microsoft is the richest company, has all the server farms and came years after PS now out and also just offered 720p. They had all the time.
"BTW Sony didn't wanted to conquer the Gaming world with streaming, like big mouth Microsoft." So why would they pay $380 million dollars, to acquire a cloud based streaming service called Gaikai, if they did not want to try and capitalize on streaming? "Microsoft is the richest company, has all the server farms and came years after PS now" You mean those Azure servers that Sony are/want to use for said streaming services?
I don't know why iPhone or iPad was tagged in this when xCloud is not available on it
