Pokemon is copying the Zelda formula, offering a fresh new experience while also giving us a nostalgic remake. It's a proven formula that works, and the $59.99 price point for Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl will not change this.
I know people like to give Nintendo as much credit as possible but let's not act like Zelda invented open world gaming.
That's Nintendo fans for you.
“ Pokemon Legends Arceus didn’t just emulate Breath of the Wild; it flat-out copied its trailer. There were several shots that were identical to Breath of the Wild’s trailer(s). I’m totally fine with this though. The Pokemon Company are doing two things here: paying homage to what some consider to be the greatest Zelda game of all-time, and telling us that Pokemon Legends Arceus will break the conventions of the traditional Pokemon experience. ” Read the article, no?
One article (count that...one) makes this claim that Pokemon copied BOTW Nintendo hater: That's Nintendo fans for you Silly logic
Uglier than botw....
My thoughts exactly, it's quite literally nothing like zelda besides being open world.
I don't think that's why people are praising it, It's the fact that pokemon fans wanted this for so long and it seems like Gamefreak and the Pokemon Company are finally doing it. I remember in the days of Black and White people wanted some sort of MMORPG like Wow but in pokemon...
So why mention zelda at all?
No one said Zelda invented open world gaming.
So would this article still exist if Pokemon Legends Arceus was not open world then? I'd wager it wouldn't. Therefore, becoming open world is the big comparison to Zelda, and yet countless games have gone open world before it.
generic-user-name The article talks about how they copied Botw's trailers and the shift of a previously linear game world to a vast open one focused on nature, again no one said Botw invented open worlds. "Pokemon Legends Arceus didn’t just emulate Breath of the Wild; it flat-out copied its trailer. There were several shots that were identical to Breath of the Wild’s trailer(s). I’m totally fine with this though." "Pokemon Legends Arceus will break the conventions of the traditional Pokemon experience. This has been a long time coming. Like Breath of the Wild, some will love it and some will hate it. Some will be in-between and nitpick. It’s simply natural." You guys are looking for drama where there is none.
But didnt it? A lot of people see the Legend of Zelda on the NES as the first true open world game.
Breath of a Genshin.
Media and toxic community: "Gamefreak needs to give Switch an Breath of the Wild style Pokemon game" Gamefreak listens: "UGH THEY ARE COPYING ZELDA" I really hate how toxic gaming has become. Nothing is ever good enough and companies can never do anything right because entitled children will have a fit no matter what.
"entitled children will have a fit no matter what" - Projection™ "Pokemon is Copying Zelda, And That's Okay" "I really hate how toxic gaming has become." ???
Damn straight I'll behave entitled. If companies expect to be paid a premium price I have every right to expect a premium product in return.
Except you don't think anything is premium no matter what they do, hence entitled brat.
People will always complain no matter what, if there is anything sure is that poeple will alwasy find something to complain about.
I bought a switch so I don't understand your argument. I bought the last two pokemon as well. I'm no brat sir, I'm just not a kiss ass who blindly defends a corp screwing me over
Not much similarity but hey you need an article. I get it *shrugs*
Why are so many nintendo fans so quick to say that any open world game is copying Zelda? News flash, Zelda didn’t invent the open world design
They didn't say Zelda invented open world games in the article. It's suggesting that, just like BotW for Zelda, this Legends game is changing the stock formula drastically and even emulating some elements of BotW (such as the trailer similarities).
You could say that about many game franchises. GTA 2 to GTA 3 was a huge change, God of War 2018, another huge departure, FFXV, etc etc Again, Zelda getting credit for things many others have already done. I'll give you the trailer, but copying a trailer isn't the same as copying a game.
@generic Sure, but we're any of those Nintendo franchises that made a drastic change with an entry on the Switch? No. Again, literally nobody is saying zelda did it first.
This forum is basically that meme N4G: I feel bad for you Nintendo: I don't think about you at all. Whenever there's a direct, or anything like this, same old arguments in the comments lol.
I knew this was vgculturehq
I hope not, botw was boring all I remember is wondering around
