"The Wakefield-based (the UK) indie games publisher and developer Team 17 and Seville-based (Spain) indie games developer The Game Kitchen, are today very happy and excited to announce that their critically acclaimed hack’n slash action-platformer "Blasphemous", is now available for Android devices worldwide." - Jonas Ek, TGG.
Fantastic game. I can't imagine playing this on a mobile phone though. Far too difficult.
This article covers pixel Indie games that have a superior art direction and creative art style compared to several modern AAA titles.
VGChartz's Paul Broussard: "If you’re looking for a title with exploration, platforming, and some challenging combat, this is a great experience that adds to 2019’s absolutely incredible line-up of releases. The problem is it’s a bad Metroidvania, which is a shame because this is an article series about Metroidvanias. If I do a series on Souls-likes, expect Blasphemous to be at the top of the list, but as far as Metroidvanias go it rates pretty low because it hardly even attempts to be part of the genre."
i initially wanted to play it cause of the art style, too me a while to actually find it, but damn did i love the game and the lore
that’s made my day 😂
I haven’t put much time into bloodstained but I love Blasphemous. I was saving my last run for when the dlc arrived and this is completely out of no where.
Let's Go!
