COG writes: IO Interactive is hard at work on the next James Bond game, dubbed Project 007. We offer a list of seven key ingredients to a successful Bond adventure.
IGN : In an interview with IGN, IO Interactive CEO Hakan Abrak said he hopes that Project 007 can be the start of a new trilogy while calling the Hitman dev's secretive project a "young Bond for gamers."
Young Bond? We talking James Bond Jr., here? Cuz that dude chases scum around the world, or so they say.
IO Interactive are definitely one of my favourite developers out there.
I haven't researched any detailed numbers, but I really wish the HITMAN reboot has been a success so far for them. HITMAN 3 was just so good.
The James Bond game is definitely something I am looking forward to. Especially because I really find them to be little audiovisual wizards, as well.
I really am excited to see what they'll be able to pull off with current-gen, since I can imagine the James Bond game won't be releasing on PS4 and One anymore.
IO do some amazing things. This has potential to be amazing except for the "young bong gamers bit". Bond is an older dude, and was never meant for a young audience. I'm interested to see this young iteration and to see if they can make something that stays true to its roots without reinventing Bond and the IP. At least they did not pull a CDPR and baby up (both are literally on fire right now).
Im eager to see what they do, i hope it's not just reskinned Hitman, but id imagine it'd be at least similar
We’re yet to see more from new James Bond game Project 007, but I hope that the Hitman devs’ next title will be shown at Summer Game Fest.
I hope so but I wouldn't call the hitman games gunplay that exceptional infact combat is something they would need to massively improve for a bond game.
Details about the new James Bond game Project 007 are slim plot-wise, but Hitman developer IO Interactive has a chance to explore this piece of 007 lore.
Would be cool if you could choose from all of the Bond actors to play through the game with.
What I like about the sound of this is because it’s a video game they can make Bond look almost exactly like Ian Fleming imagined him going off the drawings
It needs a theme song, there's a lot of rejected songs out there from past James Bond films. They could get Eva Almer, she did a rejected theme for Quantum of Solace called Forever, way better than Another Way to Die with Hollywood choosing well known singers over the quality of the song.

Others being Radiohead for Spectre or Ace of Base for Goldeneye they then turned into The Juvenile from The Goldeneye. A huge win would be getting Shirley Bassey, I always liked the one which was rumoured to be another rejected Quatum of Solace theme, even though they said it wasn't but it sounds like they are talking about the events of Casino Royale (Vespers Death) and they even have the word Solace in it.

Then you have Youtubers who do their own Bond songs which are pretty good, you know if they don't want to get a huge singer which will cost more.

I'm not sure the new game needs all these things. Good music and theme tune are a must, but I don't think it necessarily needs multiplayer shoe-horned in, nor does it need vehicles.
In my mind, they should keep most of the gameplay style from Hitman, but make it that not every level is about assassinating a target (e.g. acquiring data, preventing missile launches, etc). Then, to reflect Bond's style more, introduce some branching dialogue options within the level.
