Bad company 2 is my favorite bf game but i missed out on 2142. I just hope bf goes back to modern weapons cause im tired of the old school weapons, also they need to completely remove upgrades for vehicles.

BF 2142 is underrrated. Not my fav, but its was a good one and I think they should go to the future right now. It's the time period they have yet to visit in a very long time. Would make sense. If you do modern with the future touch thats like BF4.

Modern setting, good gun customization (BF3, BF4 levels), soldier customization, more guns, more weapons, more everything.

Bring back maps like Caspian, Op Locker, etc. (variety).

Add subclasses to classes (like a Recon that can rush) which DICE is doing but take it a step further.

Make sure each vehicle has a proper counter.

bring Levolution back.

Levolution was just gimmicky prescripted desctruction, the rubble always fell in the exact same orientation. It would be nice if the aftermath of the destruction was more random making map paths different each time it happened.

Make it were you don't need a 4 assault soldiers using every AT weapon they have to take down one tank. Take away 3rd person view from tanks unless they want to allow 3rd person view for infantry soldiers also, would only be fair. My biggest issue with tanks and other mobile artillery is the super unrealistic ability for a soldier standing next to the tank side to get killed by the main weapon. All my time in the Army I never saw a tank that could aim the barrel straight down at its side and shoot something next to itself. If it could why doesn't it receive self damage, like when infantry does from their own explosives in the game. Soo much inconsistencies in the last couple BF games.

My last issue i have and most people who like to PTFO is snipers. I jumped into BF5 recently and more than 50% of the team was snipers and 99% of them sucked at it. Just get rid of sniper weapons from loadouts and scatter a few around the maps like the .50 cals in BF4. Other suggestions would be limit the number of snipers per team or create a difficult qualifying mini game to be allowed to use sniper weapons kinda like the real military. On a similar thought have piloting qualifications too, nothing worst than someone taking a plane to just crash them immediately after takeoff or use them to get across the map and bail. What a waste of team resources. Yes i know these are super unpopular suggestions, yes we should be allowed to play whatever we want, suck at it, and ruin everyone else's fun in a team based game by not being a team player if we want. @DaCajun I agree with everything you just said. All vehicles should be limited to first person and definitely limit the number of snipers in each team. Maybe just limit all classes, wouldn't be the first game to do that. And tanks need to be easier to destroy, I seem to recall they definitely were in older BF games but in BF1 and 5 tanks take forever to destroy. Maybe just because the infantry anti tank weapons are garbage though.

I want a modern BF game. Make it play like 4 did and I'm set. If it plays anything like BF5 I will lose all interest so fast. No need for battle royale either, but if it includes it for god sakes make it F2P... cross play and cross progression is a must

But the relevant issue is the lowest tier console. I mean, technically Ps4 Pro and One X will limit Series X and PS5 as well, but when there's a much weaker console included, that is the relevant limitation.

But yes, PS4 is a big limitation. Lol get on any thread about upcoming cross gen PlayStation exclusives and you'll see me complaining about it and pointing to numbers showing that old install bases stop buying games.

BF4 came to the 360/PS3 and it didn't hold back the game, they made lots of cuts like reduced player counts & map size to those old consoles while went all out on current gen. It all depends on what they plan to do, if it's just a standard modern BF with some destruction/levolution then it shouldn't be an issue.

3/4 were the last great ones although 4 had the major launch issues. Hardline was not bad but seemed off. I honestly don't know what I want to see from a BF game right now.

My wishlist: Make it feel like 4 with better graphics, more destruction/ better physics, good balance between infantry and vehicle combat, higher player count, conquest and operation as the main focus( battle royal should be a side project by a second team if at all), no social agenda bs, no upsetting micro dlc plans and i believe fans like myself will love it.

They should go hard with the story for BF6 make it a Chinese/Russian invasion of the US during a weakened America under a pandemic. Have the campaign be a massive hopeless defensive war against onslaught from all sides, have compelling characters you care about fighting with you as well as side characters like civilians that lets you see how tragic and dark war is. EA DICE needs to go all out like they did with BF1

Oh man I loved BF3 multiplayer, the guns felt sooo good, some good maps. I remember being excited for how “realistic “ it was going to look , again I’m excited to see how realism comes through. If its anything like Battlefield 3-4 that would be absolutely what I want! Battlefield 4 was my favorite in the series with all those awesome maps. I like that skyscraper sequence where you had to parachute down as the building collapse! It was ground zero wow! That was awesome for multiplayer. I like the fact that you can blow up the ceiling leading to a ground surface where a tank is to trap it lol! This is what I really want more of in multiplayer and singleplayer! Yes next generation destructible environments! Yes games could have ray tracing and all those fancy dancy stuff, but physics, destructions, and A.I. really needs to be the focus of this generation!

I want a Half Life 2 moment like the E3 demo 2003, where the enemy is breaking through a door you boarded up to kill you. More RPGs should have the A.I. routes like Red Dead Redemption 2, but more of a larger scale than ever before.
