Games like Aquaman, Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness and Postal 2 are infamous among gamers for being infamously bad. But what many people don't realize is that all three games, as well as many other memorable stinkers were released in the same year as the absolute worst game ever conceived.
That year was 2003.

Bubsy 3D is the only game on this list that I've played. It deserves a place on this list, which is a shame, because the original game on the Sega Megadrive was a lot of fun!
I haven't played that E.T game but i have seen videos of people playing it and it really is bad.
It is such a cliche to list ET as worst game ever at this point. I can easily find 10 games on that same console that are much worse, including #2 on this list.
Dude, I had E.T. There was no plot and you really didn't even know what you were supposed to be doing.
If follows the plot of the movie. You get the three pieces and build the telephone, once you have them you can "phone home" which gives you a certain amount of time to get to the landing pad in the forest. If you do it (without the FBI guy and scientist noticing), the ship lands and takes you home. It's not easy, but it is playable and winnable.

When fanboys say that Halo 3, or Resistance 2 is the worst game they've ever played. I wish I could lock them in a room with Big Rigs and make them play it until they begged for a game on their rival system.
Oh come on! 2003 wasn't THAT bad. We got Final Fantasy X-2 and that was good, wasn't it?
2003 was the year i realised my ps2 was a big stinker after all the fail games that came out.
What did I do in 2003... Ohh yah ArmadaII...and Online poker...was a pretty good year for me...lol...my copy of Armada is worth 85$...
i remember seeing a video of big rigs, being able to reverse at full speed as if in 6th gear haha, then turning and being able to do doughnuts on the spot...whilst still reversing in 6th gear LMAO!!!
