The PlayStation 5 DualSense Controller has received an all-new "hid-playstation" Linux kernel driver that will aid the way for DualSense to be officially supported on Linux.
Imagine if Sony would release official API for PC games. For sure DS would become a golden standard, instead of Xbox controller. Sony would be silly to not to do it at some point. Given the positive feedback of everyone who used it, feels like PC controller market is for the taking. Easily. No one has this kind of tech.
I think most of us have at least a gamepad controller as well as our mouse and keyboards and some of us will have joysticks and steering wheels. I typically use an Xbox controller on PC as it has official drivers and is plug and play. Even works wirelessly which is nice.
Yes, and the only time a controller is needed when playing FIFA or Forza. At least, these are the only two games where I use my Xbox controller. In Games like COD, CSGO, Fortnite, we have the edge with Keyboard and Mouse
Lmao. Get over yourself kid. It's standard niche support like any other peripheral. It's just one more option among many others, not that'd you'd know what that's like.
Get over yourself. I don't see console gamers jumping to use mouse and keyboard. Or any PC accessories.
But I see PC gamers struggling to get at Sony's controller. Force feedback, motion trackers, etc. Dozens upon dozens of controllers. But with all those accessories, none are like Dual Sense. I find that fascinating.
I guess the grass isn't always greener with the elites. They now want peasant features.
@ApocalypseShadow Who is jumping up and down over this? I don't see anybody doing that here except you. Save what little face you've got and quit the psychological projection.
Sure it's not complicated. Hundreds of controllers. And not one is like Sony's. And now they want that too. Just buy a PS5. It works perfectly there. No praying for APIs or drivers needed.
The more people get to use this beauty, the better!
So good, even PC gamers want it.
Strange times when you got some PC gamers wanting console controller features over mouse and keyboard.
