Just installed the update. Gotta check it out but if its anything like Ghost Reacon Breakpoint's update I'm in for a treat!

REDGUM1604d ago

There was a noticeable upgrade to GR Breakpoint ?

SPEAKxTHExTRUTH1604d ago

Yes there is a Series X upgrade. Very noticeable.

DaGR8JIBRALTAR1604d ago

That 120 fps is so smooth, the difference is very noticeable.

StoneyYoshi1604d ago

Yeah its nice experiencing something that the PC players have had since 2015 for this game. Do they include Keyboard and Mouse support with this upgrade?

MetroidFREAK211604d ago (Edited 1604d ago )

I tried playing this game a few times back when the year 2 pass came out. I got voted out of casual public lobbies because I was brand new after one match. I haven't touched the game since. I don't tolerate that level of toxicity

monkey6021604d ago

It is by far the WORST community I've ever experienced for a game and the levels of toxic behaviour are shocking. It really isn't friendly towards new players, especially for a game that has such a steep learning curve.

But damn do I just love the game itself and keep coming back

Ash01Live1604d ago

Ive been playing since launch day, and I can tell you it wasn't always like this , the lil kiddies were all on cod and battlefield at that time, the community was small but mature and dedicated. Unfortunately the game got popular and so the lil kiddies came and of course brought that toxicity with them

MetroidFREAK211604d ago

I'm glad you didn't give up. Me, I want my $40 back lol

StoneyYoshi1604d ago

Console version is VERY toxic compared to PC. PC community is much better in terms of this stuff but they have also VASTLY improved the QOL in this game since year 2 so you should give it another try. They have a newcomers lobby when you are below a certain level so toxicity for beginners should be much lower. This game is also much more enjoyable with a full team or almost a full team and then you wouldn't even have to worry about toxic vote kickers.

MetroidFREAK211604d ago

Really? Is that lobby on Xbox? I like the sound of that. I may install one of these days

DaGR8JIBRALTAR1604d ago

Yeah ngl the community can be pretty toxic, like anything else you learn to deal with it.

MetroidFREAK211604d ago

I couldn't deal with it. A shame really. I wanted to become invested in that game

StoneyYoshi1604d ago (Edited 1604d ago )

"Really? Is that lobby on Xbox? I like the sound of that. I may install one of these days"

This is what i found after looking it up since i never had the chance to use it since Ive been past the max allowed level since year 1.

"Newcomer is the beginner playlist for multiplayer in Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege that was introduced in Operation Burnt Horizon. Unlike Casual or Ranked, it is only available for players under level 50."

this should allow you to get used to the games meta without being trolled excessively. There of course will always be smurf players joining in. With alternate accounts to do some pub stomping but thats probably more of an issue on PC over console.

One of the newest trailers about this game makes a good point that youll understand if you stick with the game. "Good players have skill, But better players have a plan." Thinking differently with this game compared to other shooters is what helps make this game so addicting. Ive never had a match that played the same as the last.

MetroidFREAK211604d ago

Maybe I'll try it. Thanks for the information

It's like a slow moving train wreck..

Rainbow Six is actually a great IP for something like this. I'm assuming it's likely similar to XCOM, and that would be a perfect fit for R6.

S2Killinit15d ago

I’m always excited for a good turn based strategy game.

PapaBop15d ago

Agreed, I'm excited to see how it turns out, hopefully they do Ubi it up.

DodoDojo15d ago

It's my favorite game genre so I'm sold already.

Relientk7716d ago

It's a bold strategy, Cotton. Let's see if it pays off for 'em.

anast16d ago

Obnoxious MT shops might not go with a game like this. Are they sure they want to make an actual game?

SpacedDuck16d ago

Another game that will launch, flop and result in people getting fired.

Just shut up and make a new Splinter Cell and stop milking Siege and make a new Rainbow Six 3 style Rainbow Six game.

S2Killinit15d ago

Do you sound this annoying in real life?

Michiel198915d ago

their turn based mario games were pretty good

Inverno16d ago

That actually fits the series quite well
