TSA writes: The adventures of Rick Grimes and his band of not-so-merry men (and women) have become a true cultural institution over the 10 seasons (and counting) of the AMC series, not to mention the original Robert Kirkman graphic novels. The series has been hugely influential in gaming circles too, inspiring a legion of zombie games, including the excellent Telltale adventure series and the recent Saints and Sinners VR game.
From Telltale to Overkill, the best The Walking Dead games hold a candle to the show's earliest seasons — and even surpass them.
There's a new sale on the PlayStation Store today and it's a great one for PSVR owners because Sony has slashed the prices on a couple hundred of the headsets finest games.
WTMG's Jordan Hawes: "The Walking Dead Onslaught is not the type of licensed game that ended up surprising me. Nor was it so bad that it ended up being an endearing cheesy experience I could laugh at and have fun with. Unfortunately, it’s an uninspired title that even lacks the depth of its fellow The Walking Dead VR games. Even if the story isn’t great, typically VR games can hook you with their immersive gameplay systems, but Onslaught falls short here also. To be honest, this feels like a mobile game adapted to VR."
I'm glad I didn't lay down a preorder. I almost did, after playing the spectacular Saints & Sinners earlier this year. I knew 2 great Walking Dead PSVR games in one year sounded to be too good to be true, but I still held a little hope, since it was being developed by Survios. Felt a little too soon anyways. Glad we got a good WD game w S&S.
