The pedigree of this studio is such, that I'm extremely excited for this game without knowing what it's about and without seeing any gameplay at all lol.

on_line_forever1725d ago

Ooh Elden Ring Iam so hype for this game

Thank you maiazki thank you fromsoftware

SullysCigar1725d ago

Yeah, pumped for this - even more so no we've seen how great Demon's Souls is looking!

Father__Merrin1724d ago

i dont know didnt quite like sekiro tbh

lukasmain1724d ago

Sekiro was a Masterpiece.

Skuletor1725d ago

Just show us gameplay already. I have no doubt it will be amazing but the visuals may be underwhelming, if it's still coming to Ps4 and Xbox One, after that Demon's Souls remake gameplay

TheOptimist1725d ago

No oneplays From Soft games for visuals.

AnnaDea1725d ago

lol, From Software games lives on that the story is told through the visuals.

Tapani1725d ago (Edited 1725d ago )

To me From Software's visuals and art style has been one of the most attractive features they had in their games since King's Field. Their unique visual style is absolutely what draws me into their worlds. Their artists and graphics designers are some of the best and most creative in the business.

Sirk7x1725d ago

Although, Sekiro is still a damn fine looking game.

Miraak82 1725d ago

Most games in the next 2 years will still be crossgen with some enhancements for next gen versions . We'll still have some exclusives here and there that take advantage of next gen but the install base is still too high to ignore ps4/pc/xbo players especially the ones who have no intention to upgrade right away , ps4/xbo are still some capable machines . Fromsoft are more about game design then visual fidelity but gotta say I love their art styles

Zhipp1725d ago

Who cares. Outside of Bloodborne none of From softwares games have been visually astounding. Nobody plays these games for the graphics.

Sirk7x1725d ago (Edited 1725d ago )

I thought Sekiro was beautiful, but that may be due to the art direction. From has amazing artists.
No, wait, looking at comparisons, Sekiro is definitely a better looking game.

Elden Ring is one ip I am absolutely looking forward to. That trailer with the forearms was so dark and cryptic. I would love to see more. Please and thank you.

nyctophilia131725d ago

More excited for this than the next Elder Scrolls tbh

Fishy Fingers1725d ago (Edited 1725d ago )

Or any game under the Zenimax umbrella since yesterday.....

RomanPSX1725d ago

Wow that's a new level of Stupidity. Dont choke on that PS D.

anast1725d ago

Same here. I am so hyped for this.

neutralgamer19921725d ago

nyctophilia13

While I understand your point why can't we enjoy both. I hope now Ms forces bethesda to use a new engine because they could sure use one

Maybe do like Sony where all their studios share tech information to make improvements

nyctophilia131725d ago

Oh I'll definitely be getting both, but I'm just more excited for what From Soft does next. Bloodborne is my all time favorite game, Skyrim is certainly in my top 10 though.

lukasmain1725d ago

I'm ALWAYS more excited for FROM SOFTWARE games, but I still want to play Elder Scrolls too. I'm sure it will come to PS5. If for some crazy reason it does not, then I'll just pay the 1 month sub to gamepass on PC, play the game and then unsubscribe from GamePass. No big deal

Hmmm. Alex Garland’s other work is amazing so I’m definitely interested.

senorfartcushion22d ago

I've always found him pretty meh.
He's a very indecisive filmmaker.

Goodguy0123d ago (Edited 23d ago )

Why? These live action adaptations have been oh so terrible lol. I know sonic is successful but I just couldn't enjoy the first movie. You cannot adapt a full game especially a 70+hr rpg into a small 1-2hr movie without many cuts.

But I suppose their goal is to reach more people with these films I guess.

anast23d ago

It all depends on the creative talent in these projects. Last of Us and Fallout are good, but Halo is sad.

InUrFoxHole22d ago

I thought halo was pretty good

Tacoboto22d ago

I understand opinions and all but...

What in the world was pretty good about the Halo series??

FinalFantasyFanatic22d ago

The only video game adaptation that I felt went above and beyond was the Sonic movies, and they almost fumbled the first one, Mario was alright too.

-Foxtrot22d ago

I'll get downvoted to hell for this but despite Jim Carrey as Robotnik I think the films could have been better, they shouldn't have included the real world, they should have stayed on Mobius. Hell I would have rather seen animation since the Sonic Mania / Origin cutscenes were great.

I still think the Sonic the Hedgehog OVA movie is better.

PapaBop22d ago

Usually agree but give Alex Garland a chance, his other movies are amazing, this is clearly a project aiming for a high standard as opposed to just some shameless cash grab.

Tapani22d ago (Edited 22d ago )

Agreed, given his track record and in-depth research he puts into each project, not to mention writers and subject matter choices he makes, I would absolutely give Alex Garland a chance. I'm intrigued, and think he has a good chance of making this work.

Pyrofire9522d ago

They'll probably not include the side quests

LikAChicken22d ago

Same! You can make an argument for each Miyazaki game but this one and Elden Ring always seemed like a god choice for live action (or animated series)

anast22d ago

That's what I'm thinking.

gold_drake22d ago

i meam, theres alot of material there sure but ... most of these enemies are .. non human.

is the movie gonna be mostly cgi? ha.
