Elden Ring Is Larger and Deeper Than Anything From Software Has Done Before

From Software was present at the 23rd Japan Media Arts Festival to talk about Sekiro and there was a new tidbit of information from Miyazaki on Elden Ring.

To me From Software's visuals and art style has been one of the most attractive features they had in their games since King's Field. Their unique visual style is absolutely what draws me into their worlds. Their artists and graphics designers are some of the best and most creative in the business.

Most games in the next 2 years will still be crossgen with some enhancements for next gen versions . We'll still have some exclusives here and there that take advantage of next gen but the install base is still too high to ignore ps4/pc/xbo players especially the ones who have no intention to upgrade right away , ps4/xbo are still some capable machines . Fromsoft are more about game design then visual fidelity but gotta say I love their art styles

Oh I'll definitely be getting both, but I'm just more excited for what From Soft does next. Bloodborne is my all time favorite game, Skyrim is certainly in my top 10 though.

I'm ALWAYS more excited for FROM SOFTWARE games, but I still want to play Elder Scrolls too. I'm sure it will come to PS5. If for some crazy reason it does not, then I'll just pay the 1 month sub to gamepass on PC, play the game and then unsubscribe from GamePass. No big deal

Same here. We know that it's a From Software title and that it's directed by Hidetaka Miyazaki, which for me is enough to list it as one of my most anticipated games. I'm definitely ready for some gameplay though.

I have 500 hours between 2 Fromsoft games by Miyazaki. Bloodborne about 200 + hours, Dark Souls 3 about 300 + hours. Not to mention Sekiro. I know I am late to the party and my playtime is nothing compared to others, but it says a lot for a game that is all about game-play, to keep me interested for that long, nowadays. So hyped.

I'm on DS2 now. I have always hated this game, but now I am having fun with a mage build, so my tune is changing a bit. After that I will play DS, when it goes on sale again.

I disliked DS2 too when I played it on PS3 but I still finished it. I bought SotFS edition about a year ago and I utterly loved it. The DLC's are phenomenal, some of the best levels of any souls/borne game.

All I really want to know is if they have now scrapped their plans for the current gen for Elden Ring and are focusing on next gen only. I very highly doubt they have/will, considering the money to be made, but an update would be appreciated.
