Most accurate answer. I figure outside of digital games on consoles, many retailers will knock off 5 or 10 dollars to entice customers to their stores over others anyway

So true. Sony will make so much more monsy in gaming than MS for the entire generation. Sony will sell way more consoles and games, jsut like last gen. MS has everything riding on gamePass, but still only a minority use it and I believe it will stay that way. We'll see what the future brings....

Yep, always done that since ps3 era. $30 and under for me mostly $20 for complete edition. The wait is long but saves money.

I'm really happy Game Pass is expanding. I already have to wait a long time to pick up games. Unless it's a franchise or a game that I know i will absolutely love and sink time into, I usually wait, rent (redbox if they have it), or buy used from Gamestop and return it in 7 days lol. The last few years, even seeing a $40 dollar price tag is still an obstacle, especially since I know its not the only game I will want to buy. I can't keep spending around $70 dollars on a single game, I just don't have the money lol.

I don't buy games at launch. I stay a year or do behind releases with the backlog this way by the time I get to buy the games they are $20-30 if not less

At $70 I will wait even longer my price point is $15-30. Good thing with huge backlogs you are never out of games to play

Not I!! As long as I have a steady income I will continue to buy full price physical copies of AAA games that I consider are a must play asap. Other games that I want to play but not in a rush to play I'll wait until a few dollars are knocked off the retail price. I have no interest in Gamepass or PS Now.

I pay $80 for a game brand new and I have only used Xbox Game Pass and PSNow a couple of times when they were on sale or free after that I don't use subscription.

The last thing anyone needs is MORE subscription services. How many do we subscribe to already each month? About 4-5? Netflix, Spotify, PS+, Shudder, Hulu etc etc that really adds up, subscription services need to stop.

It's also important to point out the popularity of game pass is due to its extremely cheap buy in. But I doubt most people would feel good paying the full $15 a month for some mediocrity with the occasional big title every 6 months to a year.

Gamepass only for me. There's so many games on there I will never pay £60+ for 1 game ever.
4 games could cost you £240 when you can have Gamepass with 100s of games for £15 a month. That includes brand new releases to.
Plus you get to play games you'd never ever buy but you could really find out you like.
Plus I can play those games on my phone through the cloud for no extra cost it's a bargain.
I also do all my online searches with Bing so I get reward points & usually get gamepass ultimate for free for 3 months at a time.
If you like games Gamepass is incredible value & will only get better.

I for one can agree. Yea, sure what's $10 more, right? But this is more me making a statement with my wallet. This is the industry testing what they can get away with. When it's been $70 for a while and they want to go $80, people can simply say, "Eh, it's just $10 more."

My plan is to actually wait for massive price drops to buy physical and to buy Gamepass and play a lot of new titles at launch for $15 a month while I wait for the physical prices to drop immensely just to add to my collection.

Let this be a lesson to the industry.
