This needs to be covered it's plain unfair and this is coming from an American

Doge1697d ago

Agreed. I live in the Middle East, and he fact that I have to suffer for making a UK account because my country didn't have a PSN Store back in 2007 (just to be safe when it comes to those dumb region locked DLC) and not be able change the region is bullshit. I can't believe I've been dealing with buying PSN credit codes for over a decade, and now shit's gonna cost even more.

I like the idea of sharing accounts with my girlfriend so she gets to play what I buy. Not being able to do the same with making a new account sucks.

Good luck out there in the middle east

UK has 20% sales tax included. Not trying to defend or anything but the prices are just rounded up to the nearest 9.99.

Unsurprising, they make their money on hugely overpriced games, that's why you think you're getting a deal by buying a console because the base hardware is decently priced

robtion1697d ago

Same in Australia. Demon's Souls PS5 is currently priced at $125 AU. For Comparison, Cyberpunk 2077 on PS4 is $79 at the same retailer.

This is what really cooled me on my decision to buy a PS5 at launch.

And if I'm going to be paying those pathetic prices, those games are dam sure going to be built from the ground up for PS5. Cross gen games should still be current gen prices, since their design was held back.

Chunky0071697d ago

All that means is i'm going to be more choosy buying games, i'm sure though prices will come down eventually

Knightofelemia1697d ago

I'll take $69.99 or even $79.99 haven't seen a new $69.99 game since PS3 and when PS4 came out games jumped to $79.99 and I live in Canada

Teflon021697d ago

Yup as a fellow Canadian I'm sorry because I deal with the same pain. I remember about a year out one of the first JRPGs Omega Quintet released at $64.99 and it just hit $69.99 by the time CoD released that year and then I blinked and we've been stuck paying $79.99 lol.

Knightofelemia1697d ago

Well where I live luckily all we have is GST no PST or HST added on that GST

JackBNimble1696d ago

Games didn't jump until the Canadian dollar chrashed and lost parity with the US dollar.
Infact Canadian's still have been paying $$60usd, the Canadian dollar is just garbage and that's why we pay more.

The $399 ps5 DE edition is going to cost us over $530 plus tax plus carbon tax ... blame DH Trudeau.

Review - Hot Rod Mayhem (PS5) | WayTooManyGames

WTMG's Leo Faria: "Overall, whilst Hot Rod Mayhem is a competent kart racer in terms of visuals and performance, it’s just not the most fun experience. It lacks speed, it lacks track variety, and most importantly, it lacks charisma. As much as the idea of creating racers of your own sounds appealing, they are almost always too ugly to look at. The sound department is far from memorable (the announcer sucks) as well. All in all, you will only have a crack with this game if it’s literally the only kart racer at your disposal. And I highly doubt that will ever happen to literally anyone out there."

I know Gannondorf when I see him. Seriously though, wolf is a cool character. He’s not Akira Yuki, but he’s cool.
