Edge: "Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot expects critical praise for the next installment of the revered Prince of Persia franchise.
"Already, there's a number of good marks. We have 8s, some 9s and one 10. But we're still waiting for a lot of marks to come. So altogether, at the moment [scores are around] high 8s. We hope it can be in the 9s, but [we expect] it to be 8.5 and 9.2 or 3," Guillemot said during a Wednesday earnings call.
Prince of Persia is under development at Ubisoft Montreal, and is slated to release on PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 in early December."
The mind behind Prince of Persia shares his family’s life story as well as his own as a videogame developer in an emotional and very personal book.
With the release of The Lost Crown this week, let's take a look at every Prince of Persia game released since the series debuted.
If you’re a gamer “of a certain age”, you may vaguely remember the moment when games went from a grueling gauntlet requiring all your skill and concentration to tackle to a casual, checkpoint-containing, cruise control-encouraging walk in the park.
I beat Jurassic Park multiple times!
Jurassic Park had no save system, so I would leave the console running while I went to school, took breaks. It's not that it's hard, it's just tedious. But I was a Jurassic Park obsessed kid (around 13 when this hit), so I would obsessively scower ever inch of the maps (both 2D and 3D) until I had them memorized.
The Star Wars trilogy, I only beat w the cheat codes.
with the exception of Jurassic Park and Prince of Persia, I've beaten every other one of those. It just takes practice and time. Something I had way more of when I was younger.
Well they have at least one sale for the ps3 version! ^^
Im hoping its worth the scratch
I don't know if it'll be the sales force that was assassin's creed, but I can easily see this selling over 2 million on both PS3 and 360
1st day
Uh oh. This could be bad news for Ubisoft. So many games that get great scores end up selling horribly. Instead of worrying about review scores they should hope it just sells. They should delay it until late January or February if they want sales though.
