The art style is nice, but I never have fun with these traditional point and click games.

Just not for me.
If anything, I'll watch a playthrough from a commentator that I like; sort of like watching a movie with a buddy joking through the entire thing.

In the past they where great I agree. I played all the Kings quest and Spacequest games that started with actual text typed...that was hard , but educational and evolved into verbs at the bottom and bigger inventories. It became full on point and click. I mean you had much to choose from , From Larry to Maniac Mansion, ZaK Mcraken and the great Indiana Jones and the fate of Atlantis. FMV started with the move to cd-rom and for me kinda ruined the pixelart of the time even though you had like 5000 different adventures. I remember being stuck , we had no internet and just continuing a different game until one day you just figure it out. No trophies, achievements just bragging rights that you figured it out. Imported walkthroughs and mags were either too expensive or just a copout to finish a game. That score out of 150 ect , that was your trophy. Voice over gave it a new life, then gaming changed. New genres , action orientated Fmv , 2d went to 3d with games like Mist and then came Quake and so on the genre was dying and only a select few cared. Remastered tried to get the full spark back, the sense of mystery, but I recon the only way would be VR. I heard Roberta Williams is working on a VR caves or something.

I grew up on these point and click adventure games and absolutely loved them. All of them. Owned them all, completed them all.

The strangest thing is they just don’t work anymore in todays society and I don’t know why. They just fail to hold interest. Even going back to what I considered some of the greatest.

I just don’t understand why they don’t work anymore and feel sorry for those who never experienced these games growing up. Even I can’t play them anymore. Very strange.

I completely understand you having fond memories and nostalgia as a kid. It worked your brain and thought you to read. It taught me English, but alas these mystery games and why they don't work anymore have become the real mystery.

Now we need revolution studio to give us a proper Broken Sword but I would prefer the 2d animation instead...
