Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice Getting Free Update in October With New Features

FromSoftware announced today that its popular Souls-like action game Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is getting another update this year.

I would love to see an add-on with Hanbei as the central character so that we could experience his journey to become the Undying. With his own Manga he has become quite popular.

Yeah, Hanbei was quite intriguing, it's a shame From Soft didn't flesh him out a bit more. Imagine if we get a manga and a limited series anime tie-in!

The game already runs with unlock framerate it does not need a patch to run at 60fps on PS5 ou Series X! The brute force of those new generation hardware will push it to 60fps.

Funny thing is Sekiro is the only FromSoft game that I haven’t been able to beat....as I threw in the towel.

I almost did as well. On Genichiro whose like the third boss. But I stuck with it, got the platinum and was even able to complete a no deaths run.

I beat all the pre-Genichiro bosses (except the one in the underground’s). However, I couldn’t beat Genichiro‘s second phase.

Once you get the gist of it, it's actually quite easy. You can upgrade attack power, skills and equipment by roaming around the lands before beating him. The first phase becomes really easy once you learn the combos, the second is a bit tougher, but the only reason it tough is because the mechanic to beat him by countering the thunder attack is hard to pull off in such a high pressure and long battle. Once you learn that, he is actually EASY!

@Tapani my attack power was upgraded and I had various skills and equipment. I personally didn’t enjoy Sekiro as much as Bloodborne or the Dark Souls trilogy. I think a factor of why I didn’t beat the game was the combat not clicking with me.

@Sciurus_vulgaris please go back and finish the gem. Hands down one of the best games I've played on my ps4. For me genichiro's first phase is actually more difficult than the 2nd phase though.

An update this late by From is first time.Ps4 pro still does not have stable frames. Why From Software games does not get permanent price cut? Game still 59.99 digital so is DS3.

This is one of the reasons I game on PC so much. Sekiro is buttery smooth on my PC and I'm also using some cool mods that I really enjoy.

From soft never gives a damn about stutter or bad framepacing in their games. They dont need to, because they always get a pass with this.
