I think Suikoden built up such a cult following over the last 2 decades, that the demand is there.

It was actually my very first jrpg that I played completely through, before FF7 came out. A bud of mine was big into jrpgs, showed me one day and let me borrow. I had only previously really played action rpgs up to that point.
