There was a time when a game was rare and actually worth something. Everyone knows I'm talking about Panzer Dragoon Saga, a legitimately rare game that only sold something like 40,000 and there's one guy that likes to rub in everyone's faces on YouTube that he got his for one cent a piece and has something like 9 copies, and people buy PDS. The problem is, people have seen this and suddenly want to try and top PDS by throwing out outrages prices for games, and it's pathetic. Once again though, SEGA sets the trend as always, but this is getting absurd. I did see a copy of Marvel vs Capcom 2 selling in a mall for $200, not worth it mind you because honestly, it's better on the console I play it on which is the Dreamcast.

Gee, 200$ to "play" a game, only valued due to its scarcity, and on a system that is probably no longer supported by the company. If only there was a way I could play those games on my computer. With better graphics too, possibly :)

There was a time before Panzer when games like Suikoden and Ogre Battle Tactics were made for the exceptional gamers on the PS1. Unlike Sega fanboys our gems didn’t fade. And yes I was smart enough to buy out games at Blockbusters, Hollywood Video and the like when they went out of business and made a chunk of cash on EBay. So sorry you didn’t.

Thank god for emulation and CFW.

I can't get pressure sensitive controllers to work on PC. It doesn't read the depth of the press. Really hurts trying to play The Bouncer.

Been hitting up my local retro spots for PS2 games this year. A few good gems here and there but they are rarely cheap.

I've been trying to find Rule of Rose for cheap but it is not happening.

nowitzki20041794d ago (Edited 1794d ago )

in the 90s my dad bought Link to the past, Super Mario world 2, NBA Live 95, and R-Type 3 for $10 total at pawn shop. Today each of those games cost much much more than that.

I regret selling any game/console I have owned..Some broke though and that is one reason why I dont mind digital.

R-Type 3 on Amazon right now $144.99

HarryMasonHerpderp1794d ago

Rule Of Rose is impossible to get a reasonable price 😔

_dangerclose_1794d ago

Wonder what my copy of GTA: San Andreas is going for.

nowitzki20041794d ago (Edited 1794d ago )

I see it on Amazon for $26.49 new, $13.99 used

_dangerclose_1793d ago

Oh well, guess I'll just hold on to it.

Outlawzz1794d ago

Yea it's never any of the games I own that rise in price lol guess I'm just a commoner with no taste for the rare and expensive

Insanely Ambitious PS2 Games Nobody Played

Try to think of a PS2 game that changed gaming as we know it. GTA 3, Silent Hill 2, even things like SOCOM were way ahead of the curve, among countless others. But there are also plenty of PS2 games that shot for the moon and ended up lost in the ocean.

PS5/Pro/Switch 2 version of RDR2 seems most likely. I’d love a RDR3 but that seems years away

Cacabunga22h ago

Id be happy for just a 60fps patch

OmegaSoldati21h ago(Edited 21h ago)

Agreed, but at the same time RD2 came out in 2018. Could it be a remake of Red Dead 1?

Spoiler:

Marston died in the end of Red Dead and Red Dead 2 is set before that. Im curious now. What news could it be?

mkis00714h ago

I'm pretty sure the next game will be another prequel as the story really has no where to go as far as being a western after red dead redemption. The next game will end with the ferry boat incident.

Their contracts are iron clas if they leak anything legit they are threatened with immense legal action.

My hopes for what this is are minimal its probably a meet and greet with the cast

I dont see why they would be involved in a upgraded version of rdr2 when the dialogue hasn't changed

thorstein20h ago

He seems to have been cleared to do this as he purposely picked up the game, streamed it, and made the announcement.
