The announcement of the Xbox Series X was received with excitement and joy by many, and the positive response certainly has legs to stand on. The Xbox Series X is going to be a tech-savvy gamer’s prized jewel, already dubbed as the most powerful gaming console to date.

They aren't the ones talking power every day tho. These are just people and websites articles, half the time just to generate clicks by talking about old news. We know it's powerful.
We also know that games are the whole reason people buy a game console. Not just power alone.
If a console can offer both then great. That's the only issue with a site like this, it kind of takes all the articles people can find from the web and brings it all into one place. Lots of repetitive info despite duplicate articles being flagged. There's only so much that can be done when dealing with an aggregate gaming info site I suppose.

Games especially single-player games with no microtransactions or feature any kind of GAAS.

Gears Tactics has already been confirmed to have no microtransactions when it comes to the Series X. Same with Grounded.

Halo: Infinite will have cosmetic microtransactions, but I suspect this is because Microsoft wants Halo to evolve into a live service game (similar to Fortnite) which will be free on Game Pass and get free updates over the years.....hence why it's called "Infinite".

Well they have the most powerful hardware. That is a start.
They bought quite a few new first party studios to boost their games.
GamePass is still the best deal in this industry.

All their services / features are awesome so far.

We dont know if xcloud will be included in gamepass or not, just that gamepass users will get the option of streaming through xcloud, ms said prices etc will be discussed at a later time.

I'm pretty sure that Microsoft is planning on removing the Xbox Live paywall given their pro-consumer stance on everything lately.

The new version of Game Pass Ultimate will include Game Pass + Xcloud for $15/month.

Microsoft invested $500 million into Halo:Infinite. They want as many people playing that game as possible (more active players, more dollars spent on microtransactions), which means they want to lower the barrier of entry as much as possible.

Microsoft wants Halo: Infinite to be the next Fortnite essentially. The only way to achieve that is by making it FREE to play online.

That could all come to pass logic, and it's not a bad shout at all, but what I wrote wasnt wrong, ms didnt say xcloud is coming to gamepass free, just that it was coming to gamepass users as an option to stream said library, with pricing talked about at a later date.

Objectively MS made several quality games but they lack some things. Forza, Halo, Gears are success by sales & critical response but they are just sequel and predictable. Ori and Cuphead are success but they are not AAA.

In my opinion they lack new IPs that have "wow" factor. Something that piqued interest even from the first appearance. The first time i saw Horizon's concept art, i wowed, the first time i watched Tsushima's trailer i wowed, or Spiderman, or Bloodborne, or something like those.

I love Xbox games. I do believe they need to improve certain genre's to provide diversity, not to follow what others are doing. I want to see more horror and action Adventure games. In my opinion, Xbox live, Xbox GamePass, ID@Xbox, Game Preview and Hardware are all great.

The PS3 ended up selling 3 million systens but less games. Every major 3rd party dev worldwide sold more games on the 360, not talking about NPD. Merica n UK was the biggest supporters of the 360 Sony has the rest of the world but only managed 3 million more systems sold. Stealing half of PS2 user base is a win period 😉

Who stole what now? First, there was more than just the ps3 and 360 on the market, nintendo says hi, second, every gen has been a restart on market share, those ps2s didnt go anywhere did they? So how did ms, or nin take its market share?

Also gonna point out that market share console to console will always be changing, look at ms numbers, sega numbers, even Nintendo's numbers, constantly fluctuates up and down, you cant compare one gen to the next and expect the exact same results, not realistic at all.

Also less games? Are you sure? because only sony released how many games were sold on the system(almost a billion), ms didnt...... and the ps3 had the higher attach rate, how they get that if less games were sold on the system?

Only way Series X can beat and be the Xbox that stands out is if Microsoft starts hammering out exclusives the same way Nintendo and Sony and that their exclusives match what Sony and Nintendo pop out. You can have all of the horses under the hood all you want but what it comes down to at the end of the day is the games. Buying up studios great that's a good first step but again they need to pump out the games that will make the customer look twice and say I want that I must have that.

Until the end of the year there will be around 15 games released from Xbox Game Studios, a bit more then half are under way.

* Xbox live = always top of class for online service
* Launching with Halo Infinite, which means one of their main games is ready at launch for first time since OG Xbox in 2001.

Microsoft has a chance to get out to a good lead if the get this presentation right, and leave at least one game to reveal right before launch to counter whatever Sony will reveal....and I'm 99% sure Sony has at least one more game to announce.

Microsoft needs to just stop! They haven’t been great since 2010. Years into the 360 life cycle they just became stagnant and stopped producing new first party tItles. Every time here someone talk about gears, halo, or forza I cringe. New new new new franchises!!! Oh and gamepass won’t last forever because they can’t afford to keep bleeding money on licensing 3rd parties for a service as well as bleeding money on consoles not sold.

Exclusives only available on that system... Games using the architecture advantages the S X offers....
Disagree, sure, because otherwise its just a console thats got RAW power...An affordable PC with specs that Will be bloody good, almost as high end gaming PC.... (though until release I shall not assume...)
