Hideo Kojima Teases Concept for New Game in The Works

Metal Gear Solid and Death Stranding creator Hideo Kojima is working on the concept for a new game and has been teasing on Twitter.

Bring it on Kojima and show this game industry how a game innovation is done properly, our industry has been contaminated by personal agendas that is destroying our gaming culture/morality silently and slowly, not only our games but the whole society in the world. Whatever Kojima shows im pretty sure is 1000 times better that the garbage we received as a so called triple A game some days ago.

Speak for yourself Death Stranding is one of my favorite games this generation. I really enjoyed the strand system the acting was best in class and I really enjoyed the story and world. And Kojima made that game in record time especially when you consider the complexity of the game.

I strongly regret that we probably won't get another story set in that world.

Kojima games aren't really games in the traditional sense, he's trying to achieve something much greater.
In the case of Death Stranding he was trying to teach people to be nicer to each other in a time where people are so divided and at each other's throats.

Personally I love both The Last of Us Part 2 and Death Stranding. Both games are great in different ways.
I however love to play games with great story and therefor both TloU2 and Death Stranding are great in my book, together with games like Days Gone, Detroit Become Human, Horizon Zero Dawn and God of War.

I will always trust in Kojima thou, and whatever game he gives me, I’ll take it.

I agree but I'm guessing he is talking about the growing trend in the wider entertainment industry to push agendas and narratives, like Kennedy wearing a t shirt saying the force is female, the force isn't a gender it was always for everyone. That's the problem, I've read so many stories of execs openly saying they are pandering and aimed at one demographic and not straight white males, which Is not good fo anyone.
Personally I like entertainment to be escapism, I have enough real world experiences and situations to deal with, so entertainment is for non reality but that's just me, I have no issue with tlou2

Death Stranding was my most anticipated game of this generation. A lot of people advised me to temper my expectations. I didn't. I went into it expecting a masterpiece. It ended up being one of my favorite games of this generation. If anything it only reinforced my stance to trust my own assessment over anyone else's opinions.

Is it divisive? Yes. That's to be expected when it doesn't follow an established formula. I applaud Kojima for being creative and refusing to follow the beaten path while most of the games-industry resorts to serving comfort food.

It is of course a delicate balance, because the niche can't get to narrow or it'll be very difficult to have a profitable project, especially when working with the kind of budgets Kojima is working. I just hope that he walks that line successfully, because he is my favorite game director and I want him to be able to get the funding he needs to realize his creative visions. I can't wait to see what he's cooking up for the next gen consoles.

I can already see Kojima using the SSD to it's full advantage. Imagine rifting to parallel universes on earth where gravity could change in an instant or maybe going from a mission like Bin Laden raid and then you are all the sudden put into no mans land of WW1. Man Kojima could make some crazy shit. Being a super soldier tasked with going through time and turning the tide of war. Of course it's Kojima, I expect some wacky shit that will blow minds and innovate.

Dang it seems like he’s teasing a Death Stranding sequel not just the ‘Bridges’ sign but the fact that they’re are spaceships and flying vehicles, there was a line in Death Stranding that said the player would be able ‘to go anywhere you want even the moon.’

It seems like this potential sequel will take place in the moon, that being said it’s still just speculation it could be a brand new IP but it doesn’t seem like it’s the horror game he teased and as much as I liked Death Stranding it doesn’t need a sequel.
