I wonder when the penny will drop for most gamers?
Increased focus on 1st party. (Proven by the recent acquisitions. Hopefully more definitive proof to come july).
A great subription alternative with access to all 1st party games as standard.
Amazing back compat support that's being furthur enhanced for Series X. I.e increased frame rates, res and hdr.
Full support for Last gen w/ some enhanced games like gears 5. No extra charge.
A massive GPU. A big deal for ps4 during last gen.
Higher frame rate rate targets. Forbiddon West & Ratchet both appear to be 30fps and that's disappointing.
A powerful cpu with sustained power.
A small form factor. Again, another big deal for ps4 last gen.
Full Rdna 2 feature set. Compared to Ps5's limited set. I.e no vrs.
A full terabyte of storage (ps5 0.875) with clear and simple expandability. (Sony are still asking people to wait until they've tested 3rd party drives 😞).
Xcloud if you want it.
Game saves that follow you when swapping to Xcloud or xb1 consoles.
All that off the top of my head. And people will still choose ps5. What will it take for people to truly notice the Series X? Price? Do they need to undercut Sony by a hefty margin? Or will the July reveal be enough to swing it Xboxes way?
