It's less than 1 and more than 2. Faster games get benefit more from ssd as you will see from GT7. More detail on screen and smoother movement.

According to the Dirt's developer in this news, the game will not have ZERO load screen on XSX!
"Obviously, that SSD drive is incredible. It’s not like a PC SSD, it’s more than that. Being able to load data so ridiculously fast is not only really impressive but as a developer, it’s very interesting.

For Dirt 5, we’re going to be able to get into races super fast. It means NO LOADING SCREENS getting in the way, no dawdling, no looking at my phone, it means that the action will be non-stop."

I will take framerate and resolution over a few seconds of load time every time.

But, to be honest load times will matter in some games probably. So, there is the raw performance advantage for GPU/CPU and some memory for XSX, but the much higher raw performance of PS5 SSD will also have advantages in certain situations.

Good to see both are competing hard with each other. It is spurring further innovation.

Its just a racing game and going to be a good one at that. But give me 120fps on open world and intensively graphical games then it will be something to be impressed about. It doesn't take much to get high frame rates from racing games.

I'm well aware of that and I stand by what I say. Its really not impressive for a racing game to be at a high frame rate. That's easier then more complex open world games.

@ThinkThink: yes Driveclub was 30fps, a launch title. Why don't you go all the devs...oh wait...

@Prince Ali: I don't need to have intricate knowledge on game development. Its harder to get that kind of framerate in a complex open world game (AC Valhalla for example). Let me see that kind of framerate in something similar on scale to Cyberpunk 2077, then we will talk. Beside later on this year PC will be ahead yet again in terms of raw power

@itsmebryan: no just being honest. I have nothing against the Xbox. I owe a powerful PC and just not impressed with the amount of 120fps games so far. Then again it is very early so ill preserve judgement until MS shows more.

I think most devs will. Its already very similar to the xbox one development kits. and this new one actually works with developing games for xb1 and series consoles. it was gone into more in the video interview that these questions and answers came from.

Games that is able to run @ high frame rate with all graphics settings max out usually mean it is not really a demanding game, and the devs did not really pushed the hardware to it's limit.

If a game is only able to run on an RTX 2080 TI @ 1080p @ 60fps tops. that game would count as a limit pusher.
