The Outer Worlds Switch Review | 8Bit Island

Brian writes:
"When Obsidian’s The Outer Worlds released last year, I powered through it in three days. Literally; I barely slept. It spoke to me on a visceral level, deep in my soul, which is of course why I forgot to publish an actual review.

I just can't take reviews like this seriously. Not only is Outer Worlds objectively nowhere near perfect (not that it's bad), but the Switch version in particular is a technical mess which should absolutely bring down its score.

It's fine to like a game being reviewed (really it's a big positive for the personal experience), but this is the difference between playing a game for fun and playing a game in order to form an educated opinion to try to inform others.

Doesn't help that he's exclusively using screenshots from the other versions either. The DOF effect on the characters, the additional foliage, higher texture resolutions etc

No wonder Nintendo own games get handed down 10/10 like candy by reviewers because even a trash port like this still get 9.5/10 LOL.
