Polyphony Digital files a new Gran Turismo trademark just days before the original PS5 event was planned to go live
State of Play is back tomorrow, September 24! Tune in live for news and updates on more than 20 upcoming PS5 and PS VR2 games from studios around the world.
Hopefully there's good games, but we'll see. Going in with low hype, and I hope to be pleasantly surprised.
Where does the time go?
Capcom is updating Games For Windows Live (GFWL) titles on Steam to once again make them available for purchase on the digital storefront.
I can't wait for the next GT game! My favourite was GT3 and GT2 :)
Will get to see some 8K footage soon.
Id love to play some classic like GT game . My favourite was GT5/6. GT sport is a breeze to play, but I miss some classical career elements. I tried also Forzas but I didnt find much interesting in them. Project Cars 1 was very good. But GT has that feeling, that it is made by car enhusiasts.
I'm really excited but fear that GT may face a bit of an identity crisis next gen, because it now means different things to different people.
Classically, it was all about car-collecting and an arcadey 'race from the back to 1st place' kinda vibe. However, as simulators have become so laser-precise (actually quite literally, in the case of tracks!), the scene is now about physics models, tyre wear, pit strategy and...well, a truer 'simulation'. The epitome of this is ACC, it only has one league, a few tracks, and about 20 cars. But the effort put into each is just insane.
At one point GT was the hardcore sim guy's best option, up til about GT 4, but the whole simulator thing has seen a complete paradigm shift. It will be interesting to see where they go with GT7.
I really hope it's a traditional Gran Turismo 7 and not GT Sport 2.
