you should see the prices that gears 4, gears 5, jedi fallen order and sea of thieves fetch nowadays. And soon to be released CP2077 one will likely go up in price.

I know what you mean. I have the regular green one for the xbo and it cost me like $50 for a 2tb but the themed ones are way more than they should be. but that is not really the fault of the retailer or seagate, not to the extent as it is the collector market. The damn gears 4 one is upwards of $300+ now because it isnt made anymore and hard to come by. i though about collecting these but then got quickly turned off by the insane prices these things are fetching.

I'll stick to my plain jane green one. I do also have an external i made from a cheap USB 3 enclosure and a spare 1tb sshd that i use on my pro.

I think it’s great to have an option to buy one.
Just like getting a limited edition of a game. If you want to buy a regular one that’s fine too. Paying too much is relative.

you could get a vinyl sticker and stick it on a regular HD and achieve the same result at the end of the day.
