I get your point. But I’m ready for the challenge this game seems to be delivering to the player.

I remember how much of a pain survival mode was on TLoU, but it was such a better experience overall. It added to the immersion, minus the anger it brought to me lol. Now add the new and greatly improved AI, with the new additions to what they’re capable of doing to finding Ellie/killing her, I can only fathom the challenge now, just on normal difficulty in itself.

Agreed. But especially the graphical leap ND accomplished with U2 Among Thieves compapred to UDF Among Thieves was like a generation leap in the quality of the visuals.

This is why i am not worried about PS5 being "weaker" than the xbox Serie X. The PS4 is weaker than the xbox one X and Sony studios have proven time after time that they can use whatever power than get from a weaker console and make the game look stunning. Its not whats under the hood that mostly matter, its what can be done with it in the hand of a developer who can fully utilize it.

Oh, absolutely.

For example, their use of baked lighting with real-time gives this it depth you would expect with next-gen.

It's magnificent.

My question is will it live up to the hype? Especially after Half Life Alyx raised the bar for immersion with VR. Will we hear screams for a VR version, or will their efforts be appreciated considering it's long development cycle?
