In entertainment, what is originality, that is, "authority"?
For example, in recent years many so-called "original things" have been created in the entertainment industry. One of the reasons may be business risk. If it is a popular original work or a sequel to a series that has been popular for a long time, the sales are easy to read, and conversely, it is difficult to recover the original work once it fails.
“If this situation continues, Japan will end.”
It is Hideo Kojima, the world-famous game creator, who calls the alarm.
The developer of Garry's Mod has announced it is in the process of removing all Nintendo-related content from Steam Workshop after receiving a takedown request from Nintendo.
Remedy has made a couple of changes to its core management team with the goal to grow Alan Wake and Control into larger franchises.
Changes like not being anti consumer? putting out Alan Wake Remastered on disc but not the sequel?
CGM Writes: While we were over at PAX East, we were able to sit down with Goichi Suda (Suda51) and talk about the upcoming remaster of Shadows of the Damned
offcourse Japan was always superior in visual arts as videogames .....nothing from west comes close to them and that s hurts as i m " aboriginal " european and our developped countries cant match even to the minimum japan superiority in this sector ....if mobile garbage industry hadnt dominated their market we would have seen miracles from Japan ...PS4 started to change this for bit and for the better
Japan needs to stay weird for good reason. Nuff said
Turn based anime was never my thing,
neither is anime in general. And as much as I loved MGS, Kojima’s overly convoluted storylines are what I cared for least about those games. Don’t know why any game with realism, live action, and a non-fantasy story that can be followed gets called “westernized”. White-washing so many of their characters doesn’t really help either. I’m sure westerners are the reason for that too?...
Japan has its own unique thing they should stick to their style of games. When those publishers chase western trend they tend to not have much success
Yakuza is a clear example of that I think it was ahead of it's time until Yakuza 0 really gave the franchise the boost it need and brought awareness
