RE3 vs. RE2 Remake: Is Nemesis or Mr. X The Better Villain?

Resident Evil 2 and 3 feature intimidating, stalking enemies in Mr. X and Nemesis, each of which have their problems. But which is the better villain?

Nemessis along with the game RE 3 Remake were terrible ...bad art design , badly made gameplay and garbage quality ..with all th encounters to be almost QTE .....in the other RE2 Remake s MrX was very well implemented , interactive and faithfull to the old game .....i dont understand why the hell Capcom can just copy paste herself and make good games ....they really have management problems

Garbage quality? I'd say the game was slightly underwhelming, but to say a game sitting at over 80 on Metacritic is "garbage" is quite a stretch bud.

Dude, I really liked RE3, they just needed to add the cut content. The game itself played excellently. In fact that’s the only legitimate issue I can see for the game was just all the content cut. Other than that, I don’t see why there’s so much hate for it.

Lol, Nemesis chased you in few scripted moments at the beginning of the game and that's it. Huge missed opportunity to not have him more throughout the game... At least Mr. X had random encounters.

What's truly sad is capcom could have done so much more with resident evil 3 remake but they chose to release it quickly to cash in and the game suffers for it

Instead of taking out content and exploring areas and puzzles they should have added more content and puzzles and explore more areas and make the game for feels much more bigger

I think they just wanted to release the third remake as soon as possible because they wanted to focus more on resident evil 4 which I believe will get the sort of treatment resident evil 2 remake card and then some

I will pick up resident evil 3 when it's like $15 or even less because it's not a game worth 60(to me personally)

I think the game got a break because it launched during a pandemic and people wanted to play something new If this had launched under normal circumstances I think the game would have been scrutinized a lot more

I’m not going to say RE3 remake wasn’t enjoyable because it was. It’s just so painfully obvious that it was created as a cash grab to bank on RE2 remake’s success. It’s like a giant kick in the balls to all RE fans.

With the originals I would say Nemisis, but with the remakes I would say Mr X.

Nemesis didn't feel like a threat, it feels like an overhype boss battle, something that you have to fight rather than something that you have to run from, and the fact that they added a dodge mechanic and making the game more action like diminish the fear factor, you don't feel defenseless.

making Nemesis the only boss(es) in the game didn't help either, it tells you, you don't have to fear him you have to fight him, in the original fighting him was not option but a punishment, for more contest the original game gave you 2 options from time to time, 1 were you could get rid of him for a short while (by a cutscene) and the other leaves you with him for that section of the game or push you back somehow.

they should've implement a stealth mechanics and maybe the ability to set up trap in other to get rip of with nemesis, just like they used to do in the original game.

How ironically given that Mr. X got completely overshadowed by his successor in Nemesis and has been mostly placed on the back-burner of iconic RE villains at time of release in original games of resident evil 2 and 3 and now seeing him doing much better than nemesis in remake become one of, if not the most, iconic and popular part of the remake due to the care and attention that was put into his new design mechanics and AI is just amazing wished they should doing Nemesis justice and done right like mr x in remake
