Modern Warfare fans are growing concerned about the Modern Warfare patch file size whenever a new title update is out given how big it is everytime.
Everything you need to know about Modern Warfare III coming to Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass.
MW 2019 is five years old at this point and on previous gen hardware, but it is still the best looking Call of Duty game to date.
MW was an excellent videogame. They messed up Spec Ops big time, but aside from this it was a huge step in the right direction initially. Most notably, at launch it seemed to come from a very cohesive creative vision that was felt across gameplay, to story to art style/visual direction. It was also very notably written by prominent ex-Naughty Dog guys that quit almost immediately before release.
That COMPLETELY dissolved through post-launch content and the full pivot to a "cross-mode" narrative that completely obliterated the cohesion in overall story direction. Warzone then "became" the new face of Call of Duty and the franchise completely removed itself from anything remotely creatively "good". It is a pure money machine, so I kinda get why they're doing it....but I personally completely lost interest.
I would love to see Infinity Ward move off CoD and get to make their own product with full control. They clearly have some massive talent in their ranks but it's perverted by Activision's corporate interests.
Call Of Duty is back with its yearly instalment, but is Modern Warfare 3 breaking new ground, or just a lazy cash grab? The answer may not surprise you in today's review from JDR.
I wish we had the option of deleting Warzone and just leave the regular multiplayer and campaign modes only.
Honestly they have to be doing something wrong maybe it's the new engine not being optimised and requiring duplicate assets because I'm up to 185gb on my pro. I only seem to play the same 5 maps on repeat no matter the mode.
If compression can't be better utilised they need to come up with a better content management strategy to allow players to remove old DLC packs and such that are not in use.
I've played the campaign three times now also and platinumed it so I wouldn't be adverse to losing that to save space. And removing spec ops as I found that boring. Also having the option to remove warzone would be awesome.
Makes me look forward to the ps5 and its content management system. Being able to minimise a games footprint by choosing what to install.
I already got to the point where I don't bother updating the game and moved on. They do this with every call of duty.
The patches are silly for this game. Game tweaks should be less than 1gb and even with moving assets about it don't need 29gb
So the previous updated from a couple days ago was 20gbs and it didn't change much at all. How & why are these updates so big
