Final Fantasy VII Remake Has a Pretty Awful Glitch

During my play through of Final Fantasy VII Remake, I encountered a pretty horrible glitch in Chapter 11- Haunted that could have potentially ruined the entire game.

The whole games is one messie glitch.

Games1st1812d ago (Edited 1812d ago )

Yeah, it's missing a lot of story.

UnbreakableAlex1812d ago

It’s missing great story and gameplay. I don’t like walk up an down boring empty corridors. I had way more fun with Ori and SMO it BOTW.

RpgSama1812d ago (Edited 1812d ago )

I'm almost at the end of the game on my hard difficulty run on my way to the platinum and haven't had a single glitch, I don't think I was lucky in that regard.

And the great story part I guess that's very subjective, but in my opinion i'm having a lot of fun seeing how they expanded the story and the characters of this first part.

Gameplay wise I'm going to heavily disagree with you, probably one of the deepest FF and JRPGs in a while, all the different combinations of materia + abilities + accessories for each different character gives you so many possibilities and builds that it's just insane

HarryMasonHerpderp1812d ago

Same here, seen no glitches at all and I've put 60 plus hours into it. Very happy with the game besides the ending 🤦🏻‍♂️ ah well. Going through hard mode and the ghost boss is absolutely owning me, you got any tips?

RpgSama1812d ago

@HarryMasonHerpderp

Magnify + Manawall is your friend and then from there after rotating between physical and magic which is a pain, if you can stagger him go all out with Tifa 300%+ Stagger combo (2 true strikes + Rise and Fall + Omnistrike + True Strike).

Manawall will keep you alive longer.

YoungKingDoran1812d ago

I haven't looked at the trophy list actually... But does this mean that FFVIIR "Complete" will include like 3+ platinums?? That's weird

rainslacker1811d ago (Edited 1811d ago )

There's a design choice with the hard mode which makes it frustrating, but it's certainly not a glitch. I'm sure there are some glitches in the game. that's just par for the course nowadays. but game breaking and something that would ruin an entire game without being able to remedy it without a restart? Hardly. Game seems to be about as solid in execution as a game can be, regardless of what one thinks of the quality of the story, the change in game play, or the choices made in how they're releasing it.

@Harry

Ghost boss I just widdled down little by little, rezzed when needed, and waited until I could use magic against him them arcane ward and pelt him with attacks. Otherwise, just kind of stayed away from him except to swipe at him a few times to get the ATB gauge up. I'm sure there are more efficient ways to do it, but that's how I beat him on the 3rd or 4th try.

Hell House was the only one I had to go and watch some tutorials on so far. Even then, my issue was more that I didn't have a lot of mana going into the fight, and no way to recover without replaying the chapter. The fight before it with two mechs I had to waste to much to get it done.

"The whole games is one messie glitch."

I know. Why oh why was it exclusive to Sony?!

My game crashed with an error message saying I had to delete and re-install the game. I did, and the same shit kept happening. I turned of my PS4 Pro and did not use it for a few days..fired up the game and kept playing without any crashes. No clue what was happening, but I just hope that I will be able to finish the game without any more crashes.

Ive experienced this glitch two times on different playthroughs.

I noticed a common factor to be opening the exit door on the boss fight room before triggering the boss fight. Both times I went tru the room, opened the door, explored for items outside, then returned to fight the boss.

The glitch triggers when the boss connect a grab attack with his floating arms. Happened with Cloud the first time, with Aerith the second. File became corrupted and had to reaload from a previous file.

rainslacker1811d ago

I opened the door both times on two play throughs now, and haven't experienced the glitch myself.

Hell House could use a tweak or two. Broken hit boxes, cheating, random explosions, flaming chairs and it's phase transitions always spoil my staggers, magic or limit breaks. It was too hard on normal difficulty, but on hard difficulty.. it's way too hard for me. I like a challenge if it's fair, this isn't a fair fight. They should rename 'Hard' to 'Hardcore' although someone will probably tell me it's too easy.

Yeah. That’s the first I’ve seen it anywhere near #1.

Mario 64 is great but I wouldn’t put it over Mario World.

Not having any Xenoblade Chronicles games on the list is a crime.

CUnit12312357d ago

Sorry lol. I wrote the article but 5 of us voted for many different games and majority went on the list then we worked on the list. If it were just my personal top favorite we'd seen some xenoblade and star ocean as well as some others. Thanks for checking out it!

Chrono Trigger at 31 makes my heart hurt.

Not having any Xenoblade Chronicles games on the list at all is a crime.

The effort here is impressive. Hope it doesn’t get taken down.

fr0sty267d ago

He should have done it in Dreams though, the limitations of having done it in LBP are obvious.

solideagle267d ago

ah Dreams had so much potential, I think they should have released it on PC. one can only dream about dreams sale and popularity on PC. PC has modding/creative crowd and I think it would have been a hit

gleepot267d ago

I love seeing projects like this. So much passion and time.
