Neil writes: "Gaming should always be fun, but occasionally there is the chance to deliver a bit of education and knowledge as we take in that fun. Island Saver on Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC is a fun new free game that mixes in some educational elements, with Natwest Bank the main driving force behind it."

I was so impressed with this game. I downloaded it assuming it was shovelware that would give me some easy trophies, but it actually has a decently addictive gameplay loop (to the point where I ended up buying the $4.99 DLC expansion as well). It also seems like it would be fantastic at teaching kids about both recycling and money management. I'd give it a 7/10 also, which is saying a lot considering it's free and I had the lowest of expectations for it.
VGChartz's Evan Norris: "Considering Island Saver is a free-to-play educational game commissioned by a bank, it's not that bad. Its commentary on environmentalism and fiscal responsibility, if a bit preachy, is ultimately constructive and the ideas it derives from titles like Slime Rancher, Viva Pinata, and a host of fifth-gen 3D platformers are full of potential. Yet the core gameplay loop is tiresome, repetitive, and weighed down by busy work; combat is perfunctory; jumping is floating; and the entire production feels like a commercial for National Westminster Bank."
