Change password, cancel card, file a fraud claim if they use it. Problem solved.

I hate 2 step. If you change your phone number it's the BIGGEST hassle to get some accounts back. Paypal won't even give me my account back with proof. With email verification. They tell me delete it and make a new one. Legit, that was the answer support gave me...

2 step is annoying af the moment things change.

To be fair, you can use authenticator apps, like Microsoft or Google; Epic store supports them, according to their support center (you can google for "?s=epic-accounts&f=w hat-is-two-factor-authenticatio n-2fa-and-how-do-i-opt-in" and see for yourself).

Or better yet, use password managers. I use Enpass and you can easily add both recovery codes and secret for generating time codes there. And data is stored locally (at least i use local-only db with master password).

Cell number isnt required when you use Google authenticator. Problem solved.
