The tiny green slasher villain returns in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, and is as frightening as ever.
The way it was handled was so dumb. One shots in melee...your teammates are to ostupid to get away from its attack. So you most often end up alone in a certain fight.
Final Fantasy 7 has come back under the spotlight thanks to the release of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, but is it worth replaying the original?
Very much so. Graphically it's dated but the story and the gameplay haven't aged a day. It's still one of my all time favourite RPGs and for me is better than Remake in some ways.
FF7 Remake is a masterpiece. They did a fantastic job with one of the most important games of the history.
15 hours in, I dunno how this game is getting 9s and 10s.
After finishing the remake I started playing the original for the first time and it’s very interesting to see how different the two games are. I don’t think it’s important to define any of them better than the other but the remake is honestly a incredible game. I’ve finished the midgard section in the original and the remake does a vastly better job in defining and developing the characters motivations and feelings. (I guess some of that character development comes later in the original though as midgard more or less is only the intro as stated by some.)
Surpass the original? In term of graphic and gameplay, I’d say yes. In term of story, definitely no. The remake has too many fillers.
Some of the textures look like they’re pulled from the original. That’s how bad they are.
