Xbox boss Phil Spencer also mentions that multiple next-gen consoles might be coming this holiday.
Former PlayStation boss Shuhei Yoshida claims PlayStation still believes Xbox is their only true competitor, not Nintendo.
True, they have pretty different audiences..and some People just have both at home or a PS and a PC that emulates more or less everything from Nintendo.
Xbox hasn't been a competitor since the XB360. Last generation and this generation Sony has been running circles around Xbox. As for Sony vs Nintendo Sony runs circles yes but I don't really see Nintendo as competition. Nintendo does their own thing and it works.
microsoft wanted to crush sony into dust and they had the money to do it, but with such weak leadership it was always going to fail
Game Rant interviews Plants vs. Zombies composer Peter McConnell about honoring the series’ quirky roots, adapting its themes, and now going vinyl.
The score for the first Plants Vs Zombies is such great, iconic music that it has a timeless quality. Not quite the level of Minecraft, but wonderful in its own right.
Game Rant speaks with actor Samantha Béart about their new and upcoming video game roles in Tron: Catalyst, Fading Echo, and more.
Didn’t he mention “consoles” as in Series X and PS5? At least that’s what it sounds like to me.
Hopefully more info or am i wrong here?
It’s going to be down to a price and game competition between all companies. As it is MS is having trouble against the Switch alone falling wayyyy behind them in sales.
And games wise we’ve yet to see anything of substance or actual gameplay. If Bleeding Edge is anything to go by, it’ll be another rough gen for them.
Not a good idea to create a second, inferior console with a drive in it with inferior graphics. Even an SSD only XSX. It wouldn't sell compared to the better XSX. Sony learned that somewhat as the inferior featured $500 PS3 sold worse than the $600 model PS3. And it was the same in power. Over 90% bought the 60gig model until Sony produced the cheaper, 80gig PS3 systems.

A lot of Xbox fans state that they'd rather buy multi platform games on Xbox One X for higher quality. It becomes about power and extra pixels. So, who's going to buy the lesser model Xbox Series whatever over the better one? It would be contradictory to what is currently said from the base about inferior pixels. Right?
But, in my opinion, Microsoft should stream Xbox Series X games to current consoles for a fee. Even sell a low cost, micro streaming box( which is just like PS Vita TV and Chromecast) with no drive. That would pretty much kill Stadia for good using Azure and beat Google at their own game. With the next gen controller for gaming on it.
If you want native gaming and downloads at the highest quality, you buy Series X. Xbox fans love being connected to the internet. Here's you're solution. A micro console that streams games and movies up to 4K for like $150. The only thing you have to worry about is paying for Game Pass Ultimate and you could play Microsoft's newest games.
I personally don't care for streaming unless it's my own games like Remote Play or what Xcloud does. It's free and no service is required. But remember, even with all this Lockhart talk, none of you like BUYING inferior pixels from your own comments. So, it will NOT sell. But, I believe you're willing to stream it for $15 a month from a micro console. Or current consoles with GPU. And no game buying is required.
