During the recent PDXCON 2019, Wccftech managed to talk to Game Designer Daniel Moregård about the upcoming Stellaris: Federations expansion.
From GameWatcher: "Paradox Interactive's grand space strategy Stellaris is about to get a major upgrade with the introduction of new DLC, most notably the Stellaris Federations expansion - which adds the possibility to create a Star Trek-like friendly coalition of planets. However, we're particularly interested in the Stellaris Federations origins being introduced.
As you start a new Empire, you have the option in Federations to choose from one of 18 new origin stories. These scenarios will give you different bonuses or challenges, but there's one particular one that caught our eye - the Doomsday scenario, where you start on a doomed planet and have to escape."
