Castlevania is one of the most iconic names in video games, so to honor the long-running, vampire-ridden series, here’s a put together a guide to the best Castlevania games of all time.
10 years gone by without a new Castlevania title. Now that Konami is considering stuff other than Pachinko, this series deserves a new game.
It’s more than about time it’s way overdue. Please make a 2D Castlevania with item/armor/weapon collectibles and transmog as this is the one series my wife will play but it has to have item collecting or she will skip it.
Lords of shadow 1 was such an amazing game and they dropped the ball with the sequel

Seriously, the games in the From Software's Soulsborne series are the best 3D Castlevania games we will ever get. From Bloodborne to Elden Ring, Konami will never approach that level of quality and give Castlevania its due respect. EVER! "Enough talk, call yourself a Belmont in the Character Creator, HAVE AT YOU!" Without question.
As for a new 2D entry? I mean, sure, why not? What the hell, right? It's about damn time indeed.

Um, actually mine is the original line in the Script. But Konami, being Konami, decided to change it to "What is a man? A miserable 'little' pile of secrets." I know, they ruined it...

I'm glad you enjoyed it. On the other hand, it seems like some ppl were so offended by my Line being so OP that they decided to side with Konami. But these are the same people that bought Contra: Rogue Corps Day One and convinced themselves it was the best Contra. So I take no offense.

During the Dead By Daylight Year 8 Anniversary event, it was revealed that a new collaboration with Castlevania is coming to the game.
Konami's highly rare Castlevania: The Arcade has finally been preserved, and everyone can soon get to play it for free.
Is it me or is the text 1000% larger than normal?
Apart from Castlevania III every single Igavania is on top of that list. I'm sorry but that list seems to be written by someone who never touched a Castlevania game until the PS1 era. And Rondo of Blood didn't even make it to the list.
There needs to be a new game. Loving the show!
I loved the genesis one as well as 3. Dracula x on SNES was great also.
I won't really complain about the list because it's a list made of opinions and we all have different opinions.
Personally I loved the Lord of Shadow series and played several times LOS2, also as much as I loved Symphony of the night I believe the GBA/3ds games improved on it and thus are better.
My only real gripe is that the list is missing some games
- Dracula X on super nes
- Dracula X Rondo of Blood pc engine
- Darcula X Chronicles on PSP (It's 3d remake of Rondo of Blood)
- Haunted castle ( it's the arcade game)
- Castlevania: Order of Shadows (mobile game)
- Castlevania: Harmony of Despair on Xbox live and PSN.
I strongly suggest fans to try out Dracula X Chronicle if possible, the game is super fun and you can unlock the original Rondo of Blood game and Symphony of the night. ( ok you can unlock also: Akoumajou Dracula Peke).
