Daniel Hennessy writes, "In the beginning, when Pixar was new, the animation studio delivered onto us a series of line-pushing animated films, filled with amazing stories and relatable characters on incredible adventures. Over time, namely the last decade, Pixar focused on sequels. Some were great (Toy Story 3), others were good (Incredibles 2), and one (Cars 2) was just a terrible cash grab and slap to the face of Pixar fans, leaving those to wonder if Pixar lost it’s magic. Onward, Pixar’s first original film since 2017’s Coco, seems to ask the same question, and also provides the answer."
