WTMG's Aaron Price: "Beginning to end, Bucket Knight took an hour to turn on, beat, and get every achievement. This ended up being a game that required a lot of patience, as the controls, collision, textures, and basically everything else ended up being an absolute mess. I couldn’t help but ask the entire way through the game if there was any quality assurance put into it. It’s one thing that Bucket Knight was out on Steam, which is known for their shovelware. It’s a completely different questionable move when it comes to consoles. I will say though, I appreciate that most of the achievements are references to Monty Python and the Holy Grail, so that’s something at least."
Neil writes: "The Xbox Series X and PS5 unveils may be the hottest topic in gaming at this time, but for many it's all just about the games. And if you fit into that category then there is only one thing to worry about this week - the latest bargains being delivered via the Xbox Deals With Gold and Spotlight Sale for 16th-22nd June 2020. And once more there are a whole host of brilliant Xbox One and Xbox 360 discounts in place."
Games are advancing in a way that was never thought possible at a rate that makes it hard to keep up with the latest trends and emerging genres. At the same time, developers and players still seem to love to always go back to the classics. Think Shovel Knight or The Messenger.
From indie developer PigeonDev comes Bucket Knight, a short and quick platformer with a retro style. Here's GotGame's review.
