Yeesh. I commend them for getting this massive game running on the Switch, but imo it does a HUGE disservice to it. Graphics aren't everything, but the switch version GREATLY detracts from the overall experience imo.

Doesn't help that it's 79$ (in canada). That's almost 100 with tax. Where on PC or even ps4/Xbox it's regularly on sale for 20$ with all dlc.

MadLad1950d ago (Edited 1950d ago )

I played the game on ultra on a solid gaming PC, thus the other versions are also doing the game a disservice.
I can actually take the Switch version camping, or when I travel. That alone gives it an edge on the other versions, even if the visuals aren't as great.

Shiken1950d ago (Edited 1950d ago )

To my knowledge it also has steam cross save now as well while the others don't, making it the best version in if itself.

Play on Switch on the go, play on you PC with max settings at home!

Beat it on PS4 and Switch. In no way is it a disservice to the game to have it portable. Get out of here with that crap. It felt the same way playing this great game on Switch as it did on PS4.

Being able to re-play this while taking a shit is pretty dope IMO.

Gonna be playing with AA off from now on.

Getting the Steam and GOG saves is pretty awesome. Being able to play on the PC and then continue your game on the go and then come back to the PC is pretty awesome IMO.

A switch 2 update might be a nice way to celebrate it for people who brought the switch 1 version

4Scarrs_Gaming32d ago

This is exactly what I was thinking too.

gigoran832d ago (Edited 32d ago )

It will be for a price. unfortunately not like the PS5 where a majority of them were free.

anast33d ago

Cool, can we get a controller sensitivity option for the PS5? Geralt going full sprint when I barely touch the controller is keeping me from playing this game a 3rd time.

I would have included the Uncharted games as well. Good list though.

Island would be #1 but that would be anything from Frontwing.

Haha it is not lost on me that two of the games in the top four were already novels before they were games

The Witcher 3 PC Optimized Settings: Next Gen Update & Ray Tracing Performance

Even 9 years after its release, The Witcher 3 remains one of the finest RPGs ever. Its detailed world and ingenious quest design have yet to be surpassed by another in the genre. The next-gen update released in late 2022 was a significant visual overhaul, adding ray-traced lighting, upscaling, and frame generation to an already pretty world.

Actually just picked this up yesterday on Steam, since it's $9.99 for the game and all the DLC. I've owned it for years on Playstation, but honestly never put a whole lot of time into it. Though I knew I had to play through it one day because I loved what I did play. It runs so buttery smooth on PC. Still a really beautiful game with everything maxed out settings-wise at 4K.

Damn man that’s a long ass wait for a game you were feeling good about. I beat it the first time over 9 years ago
