For me it was the worst.

The first one was my favorite then 3 then 2. I did not play genesis yet

Puty1902d ago

yeah D2 was one of the 2 games i didnt finish last gen.

Prubar1902d ago

Yep totally agree. Beat 1 and 3 multiple times but 2 was just to bloated. I actually felt 3 had the best pacing. Haven’t gotten around to genesis yet though.

I remember how I first heard of Darksiders, bout 7 years ago my girls kid came over and seen my playstation. He asked "Have you ever played Darksiders?" I said "Never heard of it, what's it about?" He replied "Its God of War meets Zelda." 10 minutes later I was in line at gamestop picking up a copy Of Darksiders 1.

So true :) Back then, D1 wasn't on my radar at all until, quite awhile after release, someone told me about the Zelda-esque dungeons. Up 'til that point I thought it was a linear hack n' slash.

I wonder if it was my fault for not paying attention to gaming news or their fault for poor advertising?

Oh, and I disagree with the article, I'd put D1 top. Honorable mention to Jesper Kyd for the soundtrack on D2 though.

That's exactly how it was explained to me word for word lol

AnubisG1902d ago

For me it's; 2, 1, 3 and don't even care about Genesis

TheLigX1901d ago

Maybe play genesis... and you’ll care if you played 1.

I don't like isometric games. It looks like Diablo. Chaos on the screen million collors and flashes all over. You don't even know what's going on. Not a game I like.

It's Been 13 Years Since The Cliffhanger, When's The Darksiders Finale Coming?

Now that all of Darksiders' horsemen have been explored, it's about time we get the epic team-up the first game left us hanging for.

Embracer went on a massive studio buying spree in hopes one deal with saudis would go through and it didn’t.
Now they are shutting down studios and looking for cash after spending most of it on acquisitions.
I wouldn’t get my hopes up for anything that Embracer owns.
They need to get out of this problem they made for themselves but it may never happen. They f’d up big time.
Darksiders has little hope at this moment
