Saber Interactive Says The Witcher 3 Update For Switch Will Be "Worth The Wait"

Earlier this month, Saber Interactive said it was hard at work on an update for its Switch port of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Complete Edition. While it was originally thought to be a minor update, a recent comment from the developer suggests it might be a lot bigger.

I never tried Witcher 3. Tried the first two and turned away from it. There just isn’t enough time in the day sadly.

The Witcher 3 is so good that it's hard to go back and play the first two. However, once you get past the opening areas in 1 and 2, both games get much, much better.

I agree, it's a big investment. This is the third time I have come back to it. Started playing again after the Witcher series. I have reached level 10 now which is the furthest I have ever got. The game is great but fitting it around life and having time to sit and play it properly is difficult. But thanks to the Switcher version that's a little easier.

I hope they can improve both the graphic and the gams performance. Also, the fact that the Witcher 3 can run on the Switch is astonishing imo.

Not too loud, you'll upset the Sony and Xbox (mainly Sony) fanboys who hate that they were 100% wrong about The Witcher 3 not only coming to switch, but also looking pretty damn good all things considered.

Ricegum1979d ago

Wow. Such a ridiculous comment smh.

A switch 2 update might be a nice way to celebrate it for people who brought the switch 1 version

4Scarrs_Gaming33d ago

This is exactly what I was thinking too.

It will be for a price. unfortunately not like the PS5 where a majority of them were free.

anast34d ago

Cool, can we get a controller sensitivity option for the PS5? Geralt going full sprint when I barely touch the controller is keeping me from playing this game a 3rd time.

I would have included the Uncharted games as well. Good list though.

Island would be #1 but that would be anything from Frontwing.

Haha it is not lost on me that two of the games in the top four were already novels before they were games

The Witcher 3 PC Optimized Settings: Next Gen Update & Ray Tracing Performance

Even 9 years after its release, The Witcher 3 remains one of the finest RPGs ever. Its detailed world and ingenious quest design have yet to be surpassed by another in the genre. The next-gen update released in late 2022 was a significant visual overhaul, adding ray-traced lighting, upscaling, and frame generation to an already pretty world.

Actually just picked this up yesterday on Steam, since it's $9.99 for the game and all the DLC. I've owned it for years on Playstation, but honestly never put a whole lot of time into it. Though I knew I had to play through it one day because I loved what I did play. It runs so buttery smooth on PC. Still a really beautiful game with everything maxed out settings-wise at 4K.

Damn man that’s a long ass wait for a game you were feeling good about. I beat it the first time over 9 years ago
