PS4 vs Xbox One in the US – VGChartz Gap Charts – December 2019

In December 2019 the gap in the US between the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One grew in favor of the PlayStation 4. The PlayStation 4 sold 26,962 more units than the Xbox One in the last month. The PlayStation 4 has also sold 864,715 more units in the last 12 months. The PlayStation 4 currently leads by 4.59 million units.

Impressive, based on Vgchartz numbers 58% of global XO sales are in the US, versus 30% for PS4.

I better understand why MS PR is so US centric in its content and form. They will really need to step up their game in this area if they want to expend beyond homeland for next gen.

Its not that MS is US centric... Simply people outside US actually think before mindlessly buying xbox just because it is a 'Murican product. Here in Europe actually PS destroys xbox about 5:1 while there are way more xbox price drops.

I think their US centric marketing is probably why they have a larger number of sales in the US rather than other regions. Marketing is often directly related to sales.

This all will change next gen, because teraflops and services will make the diference. Right? Because millions will give up on the games they got, on the amazing experiences they had and sell their PS4 to get a Xbox. It make total sense.

Who the fuck is dumb enough to pay for an expensive paperweight with no exclusives and one console? I prefer to invest money on one console that has it all. That was the PS4. The same will happen with the PS5. People wants more value for their money.

If I want portability then of course, I get a switch. If Microsoft gets good exclusives then I can see what's up. But obviously Microsoft doesn't have them. Their purpose is monetisation, services and their OS. Quality is not their priority.

While there IS NO EXCLUSIVE GAME announced by Microsoft I'll continue waiting for real exclusives like The Last of Us 2 and Ghost of Tsushima.

And here we have another trolling attempt as expected. The thread is about the sales of the PS4 and the XBONE CONSOLES. The reason why PS4 sold more was and still is for the exclusives. It's about sales on the consoles not on the profits of an enterprise. The graphic displayed in video game chart shows the numbers of these consoles not the financial state or the fiscal year of Sony or Microsoft. We are not discussing here who gains more money. If we talk about money then Microsoft is doing money with their products but the idea is not about money, now is it? How about if we speak more about quality and the games we get? With Microsoft you are getting NO QUALITY whatsoever. If slow people wants low quality and pay less for more then they can purchase Microsoft products, no one stops them.

Both will be released on PC day one. Halo Infinite is a joke? Based on what? Your crystal ball?

Do you know how much a “build ready” PC costs compared to a custom build one? And why does PC need to have better exclusive in order to verify its existence? And do you know how much a 12 teraflops PC costs compared to an Xbox SX?
