New concept art from Fable 4 possibly revealed by Conar Cross, an Associate Lead Concept Artist at Playground Games.
We all saw the life-like new trailer for GTA 6, and basically everyone was speechless; now, when the initial hype died down, the players are a bit skeptical that the game will look like the trailer.
I have my slight doubts as well. To my eyes, the visuals in first trailer looks marginally better.
I presume there might be different visual preset(s) for cutscenes, and gameplay and the game'll seamlessly transition between the two.
Then again, they made GTA V possible on a PS3 and RDR2 on an Xbox One. So ... fingers crossed, I guess.
With the way they made this trailer... it looks more like a fast and furious movie than a GTA game. I wouldnt be surprised if this will get a mod on PC to replace Jason and Lucia with Dom and Letty.
I want them replaced by Phil and Jim Ryan models.
The bed scenes'd be quite metaphorical, with current Xbox injecting its games to PS library, Phil'll be knocking up Ryan.
I'm a long-time dev (am I allowed to mention this here?), worked/working on triple A games, and I don't blame people for being skeptical. To be fair, most of my dev friends were also skeptical Black Myth was going to turn out as well as it did (mostly because it came from an unknown dev). GTAVI looks _incredible_ and the "running on PS5" text on the trailer and not specifying PS5 Pro makes me even more skeptical. Also curious how they'll swing the Series S version. Having said that, it's been in development for what, 10 years(?) with an almost unlimited budget and attracting the most talented developers in the industry. With those resources it's possible.

Cut scenes can always look amazing.
Gameplay is what we see the majority of time when playing the game.

I 100% believe that's what the game will look like. Presentation and high fidelity graphics are finally starting to shine later in the gen so expect this game to look as advertised.
Oh it will.... on the Pro. All the effects and reflections look to exceed anything ever done on a base 5 before.
I'm expecting a big resolution and FPS bump instead of marginally different effects like that.
Rockstar have come out and come firmed trailer was a mixture of gameplay/kinematics and that it was all running on a base ps5.
The game will look as advertised they literally have a team of like a 100 people working on this and apparently a cost of a billion dollars to make.

That's cause it won't. This was all cinematic in-engine footage. It's always doll'd up for trailers.

The tech is there, just have to use it. What they need to work out is the licensing of these old games which are usually a huge headache.
Sounds like a waste of time, I can count on one hand how many legacy Xbox games exist.
So now that Xbox is putting their games on PlayStation, will Sony now be willing to share their blueprint for the PS6 with MS. I remember them saying, something like, if MS were to buy Activision they would not share that info with Activision in fear MS would use that information to then change their plans for their own future console, to make it more powerful than whatever Sony had planned.
On topic: this technology on different modern platforms I guess would also include any PlayStation, but when would Sony reciprocate and start releasing games on Xbox. What games would they release? Current gen or a previous generation to gauge how well they sell.
Shouldn't the PC also be tagged in this article?

One thing is for sure...Playground Games has some nice artists working for them. Even if this isn't for Fable, just imagine what he could do with an RPG...
